Are you telling me this and Tales of Dark River might air near each other? Those are legit my most anticipated dramas for this year... How am I gonna watch both at the same time? I will make do with it if it's true... Anyways, I'm so excited!! ππ
Wow I just watched the new trailer and I am absolutely loving it! I can't wait to see our main cp and their dynamics! I also can't wait to see the other characters! This drama is gonna be such a fun and wild ride aahhh!!
I am confused... r u complaining about the actors, the characters, or both? Bc it sounds like you hate them both...And…
I know about his scenes getting deleted. I also didn't watch ep 39 lol. But that's just one ep ur complaining about? I do agree with that I hope they maybe decide to put back the important Chengyi scenes bc many fans want it and take out some unncecessary scenes, esp Kaiyan's lol. I'm sure you hate him? He's the most hateable character in the drama for sure. We have diff opinions about the two you hate, but that's an opinion so I respect that. And what makes you hate the actors? Did they do anything other than take up screentime for you to hate?
Xu ZhengXuan and Liu MengRui these two imperial highness, give us back the main plot aaaaaaahhhh. All the hate…
I am confused... r u complaining about the actors, the characters, or both? Bc it sounds like you hate them both... And I'd rather complain about Kaiyan / Yiren (more Kaiyan tho ofc) bc they take up a lot of annoying screentime that could just be replaced by those more important scenes imo
Yup. Kaiyan is truly the worst, spends his working hours killing people I like more than him (but no one I'd actually…
Ikrrr... he's so annoying... He just believed in that dude like c'mon now... Did you not see what's in front of you? You were loved by many... Stop being so petty and jealous. This caused you to do so much harm even to your loved ones. Do you expect them to see you the same after all you did? Ugh... wished we didn't get this kind if reveal of a villain π
I finished this in the beginning of the month and it was fun and refreshing. I think I could go for a bit of a better / more interesting plot but the action and this drama feeling like I was in a game made this very entertaining still. Will definitely look forward to season 2! I heard it's gonna be much more interesting based on the donghua / novel? Boy, that's exciting! Also, can I talk about OSTs... They're so good like omg! I'm listening to them rn and I am obsessed! I hope they come on Spotify one day π Also I'm in with everyone. I like Han Li with Mo Caihuan the best lol but anyways good thing this drama doesn't rlly have romance qhere the ML pushes everyone who likes him aside. I lowkey hope ends up with Mo Caihuan in a future season for end gams, but if not, I don't want him to end up with anyone lol π«£ Can't wait to see Han Li grow in future seasons tho and see how different and more epic(?) it will be!
(I still haven't watched past ep. 37 bc for some reason iQIYI is releasing only ep a day now, even when I have Premium VIP??) The way we were all complaining about Yiren throughout the drama even more than Kaiyan... Well... I can tolerate him much more than Kaiyan now. I would've loved to see him avenge his parents / family by actually stabbing him harder and really going all in with killing him. I was kinda proud and then... he died just like that bc of that stupid Kaiyan who doesn't even have a single inkling of care towards his family, like what?? Atp, were they truly a happy family growing up? How could someone become so evil to have grown up in such a family and kill them? Ughhh... Anyways, I can imagine that we could've seen a bit of a growth arc for Yiren if he lived. I get reminded of Jiang Cheng bc he kind of treated his own brother in a similar way and seemed to have regretted it after he found out smth big about him. Instead, we got Kaiyan living which is actually much more worse bc he is going around killing many people. He's definitely much more annoying now.
Watch this teaser! Still can't believe we're getting our Yang Yitan and Wangquan Zui back! I will now think of this as a reincarnation of theirs~ Seeing them again as a cp makes me smile and so happy! They're so cute!
It is because he is trapped by Confucian ethics that govern the relationship between ruler and subject. He trusts…
Thanks for your reply! I think that makes more sense now! Nonetheless, it's smth I wished wasn't added here (emperor poisoning him) oof Chengyi's had enough of suffering from poison lol (*ahem* MLC) π
(I haven't watched ep 37+ so please no spoilers whatsoever!) Smth I really can't understand is why does Li Chenzhou allow himself to get poisoned by the emperor? He is aware he is getting poisoned, so why does he still drink the wine he prepares him? I can't understand it at all... It makes no sense when he allows this bc the emperor isn't good himself, and doesn't he want justice anyway? Meaning, the emperor isn't good so he won't even really make a country prosperous / in peace. That means, shouldn't he try his best to expose him? Like seriously, this feels so wrong... Oh well... I hate this kind of plot planted into the drama π (I haven't watched ep 37+ so please no spoilers whatsoever!)
I still can't believe my boy played vastly different characters, Ying Lei, who is my first love, and Liu Suifeng. He really impresses me with his acting skills. Ughh, the different auras they give off is smth else! I'm so proud of my man!! Can't wait to see him take in more roles in the future!
Oh, and I am def giving Time Raiders a shot after Fushanhai! Not to mention the reunion btw him and Cheng Xiang, where they played in both dramas. To see them be enemies in FSH (tho with like zero screentime) to becoming like best friends in Time Raiders is gonna be such an interesting and fun transition π«£
When Qiushui got to meet his mother again after having lost her in the real world, it was so heartwarming and precious to watch. I absolutely miss the dynamics btw these two mother and son, and the dynamics with the family as well. It's sad how they really fell apart in the end...
Another is... the Shenzhou Sworn Brotherhood in the beginning felt more tight-knit bc it was btw the four best friends who were sworn brothers bc of Qiushui. I think those 3 with Qiushui will always be special to me. I absolutely loved seeing them go out together to do stuff and fight some of those bad guys! It was so much fun!! Oh, and not to mention that fight against Fu Tianyi *ahem* MLC *ahem* Shan Gudao ahaha I thought that scene was so iconic and epic! I felt the friendship was a huge thing that was missing for me. I really loved seeing the brotherhood and was sad we were not getting a lot as the drama went on.
Oh, and I can't forget the first time Qiushui and Liu Suifeng met. I enjoyed their dynamic a lot. It was so interesting watching this duo even if they truly weren't on the same side. It felt like an enemies to friends trope but it seems that's not what we got sadly π© I thought these two would have more screentime together... it felt like they were setting up for it, esp with the mission "reform Liu Suifeng"... but then it disappeared π
Ahhh, we can't forget Tang Rou! Many seemed to not like these first eps... I guess I'm the only one that actually loved and kept missing Tang Rou throughout the drama just like Qiushui π Did you forget it felt like losing his real friend, as they were close friends who were college roommates? If he lost any of the other two, it would be the same. I could imagine a strong brotherhood/bromance btw Qiushui and Tang Rou if he made it alive π
I know some don't like the comedy, but I adored it a lot! I honestly missed it when we weren't really getting it any more. I thought the comedy was fun and a unique addition to the drama. But I also do like how more serious it got~ Just miss the bits of comedy here and there yk~
