OMG FINALLY!!!! After watching Love in Pavilion and finding out how they are NOT a cp in Sweet Teeth, I've been wanting to see them together again! I'M SO HAPPY AAHHHH!!!!!!
I wanna ask something, is the double worth it!?? It's been on my list for soo long but haven't been able to pick…
Yesss go for it! It's an epic revenge story! Honestly a lot better than Blossom imo! For Blossom, I was bored to hell for some reason (more in the second half I believe, but tbh, I forget lol) like idk what it was but yeah~ So def give The Double a shot hehe~
Also, the ML's got two fun sidekicks that you'll come to love, and so does the FL having a maid that she treats like a little sister, both of which always stick by their side. It was fun to watch them often with the leads. But yeah, the leads are really cool. Their acting's great too.

I love The Double and actually tbh I lowered my expectations for it after my experience with Blossom. I was worried about not liking it but I ended up loving it. So I like The Double much more than Blossom. But I will say this (LOTFG) drama is okay. So honestly, it just depends on each person. Go into it with low expectations and see if you'll like it. Loved the main leads, but man do I have to praise the ML a lot... he is such an iconic character, and not to mention the actor is very young and delivers his lines exceptionally well with that voice of his. I think at least you will praise the ML.
I'll wait as long as needed for this drama, no problem -- but I'm just praying that they let Cheng Yi do his own…
He def will be using his own voice which, if you watched the trailer, you would know. I believe most of the cast (at least the top ones) will dub themselves bc it's nearly the same production crew as MLC where at least the main cast uses their own voices.
If you want a good drama with a female general and revenge, try "Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance." It's a mini drama but it's a really good one. It also has a much darker and more intense tone than this one.
i don't know but this drama reminds me of prisoner of beauty so muchh.. is it just mee??
I never watched it yet but have been meaning to. So I'm curious. In what way does it remind you of the drama? The story, characters, comedic scenes, etc.?
There are some shows from Mango TV tho that are on iQIYI... There's a chance, but maybe not much for airing? Also about the 4K, I doubt international viewers will get it no matter where if Mango TV doesn't have 4K for us in general. Anyways, I won't expect much but thanks for your reply. Also Viki unfortunately doesn't have 4K as well but I'll take that for the high quality subs.
I'd love for this to still air on iQIYI if possible bc I really can't miss out on that 4K quality... or at least Netflix (but I'm thinking iQIYI would do better in their subs so)... Maybe in the far future we'd get this chance tho when the censorship lifts π But if it has to air somewhere else, please let it be where it would be 4K video quality and also good subs...
Ikr I canβt help but be a little disappointed with the way this drama is going.
Oooh okay I really liked that mini drama and for some reason I would also kind of wish LOTFG was maybe in the same level of darkness or intensity as that, or at least darker than it is rn, but still with a sprinkle of some light moments (but in this drama, I think there's more of the lightheartedness than I like)? So I am with you on this.
For some reason I watched this while it was airing but I wasn't like very annoyed with the FL until maybe ep 23+…
Yep I can see that. I mean I was on the same boat but it wasn't like as much... So yes, you're right about the last sentence ππ Who knows? After reading many ppl's thoughts about the FL, if I were to rewatch, I'd be able to see it more clearly. But having not come across them that much as I was watching 20+ eps, maybe it didn't affect me too much as it would seeing other people's opinions first?
Iβve just learned that HYβs voice is actually not ZY's?? Wtf wtfβ it really sounded like ZYβs. πππ
Wow it seems she has very similar voice to her! That's nice to know! I actually did think it was the same VA that voiced her in WoH and BftB when watching the trailer bc idk, I got so used to it tho I barely listened to her real voice b4. It's so cool she's got a great VA with a similar voice to hers to dub her!
Haven't watched One and Only but dang not looking forward to seeing his character there now LMAO it's a drama…
Oh, I bet... I never saw him play a villain kind of character but now I'm looking forward to seeing that different side of him! And yeah, I do look forward to seeing Bai Lu there as well. It seems to be different from her other roles? Tho heartbreaking, this seems like a drama I'll really love. It'll also be interesting to see them finally paired up together in their new drama LOL
I just want to be honest here: I know XBM suffered here BUT... I still don't forgive WXY.
Haven't watched One and Only but dang not looking forward to seeing his character there now LMAO it's a drama I've really been looking forward to watching too aahhh and I love WXY so good luck to me LOL good thing it's not the first drama of his I watched tho π But considering how you hate him there, it goes to show he did well in his acting π
people can like the drama and dislike some part of it same time, yall people are moving like cult, so annoying
Thank you for saying this. Like it's normal to have some problems with dramas. It's not like every single drama we enjoy has not a single problem... I mean, is there one drama where there's not a flaw or a part we dislike? Like yeah... Anyways, for this drama, I really love the chemistry btw the leads. They really have it despite not being a cp YET. Also, I will say, after watching today's first ep, it's def getting better :)
i think the reason u feel this way is bc the drama went thru a lot of editing and cutting :(( this drama production…
Yeah true... I think 40 eps with 45 min (or at least 45 min per ep in these 36 eps) would be nicer. But I'm still enjoying it and I feel like it's actually getting better by ep 9 so yeee~
Is there a ML who suffers a lot like this one? It could be cdrama, kdrama... someone who is brave and can take…
Lol Yu Sifeng from Love and Redemption suffers so much, one of the top top I swear. Maybe the top one of what I've watched even. Some may hate the FL, but honestly, I love her so much. She is a very understandable FL for me honestly. Even in the beginning and almost throughout the drama she defends him always, but bc of how she grew up and was deceived, she kind of betrayed him in the middle but then regrets it in the end. She has a lot of growth. Also, not L&R being my first xianxia lmaooo...
Another one is Tantai Jin from Till the End of the Moon. He suffered a ton as well. Like even the FL backstabs him (understandable but it really made the watch stressful tho I still love the drama lol their relationship is so toxic tho). Well I would say Yu Sifeng is better than Tantai Jin with dealing with the suffering bc man Sifeng is so selfless like I can't! Also I literally just started rewatching L&R lmaooo
I LOVED this drama when it was airing but waiting for episodes to drop instead of being able to watch episodes…
For some reason I watched this while it was airing but I wasn't like very annoyed with the FL until maybe ep 23+ but then again that feeling didn't really linger for too long? I feel like it only lasted a few eps for me idk. I have a twin sister and we watch the same dramas basically always and like the same ones too but even she felt really annoyed with the FL, even before ep 20, like idk our views are different skdjskdjs I guess it just depends on the person atp LOL... to note, we were behind so we would watch like 4 eps a day to catch up, so I guess that helped for me (but not even my sister lmao)... But idk, I also find her understandable but yes sometimes annoying still but didn't hate her? As a female myself, I really don't like viewing female characters negatively while thinking mostly positive for the guys... Like yeah... Unless they are written in a way that I can't understand them at all, then yeah, that's a different matter... For instance I HATED Shangguan Qian in MJTY! π π
I am enjoying this. BUT there is smth missing for me and idk what it is. But I'm still liking it... Here's the thing:
I actually found the first episode really epic. They showed us how the FL grew up and fought alongside the ML all thru those years under her brother's name. But then the war didn't end well where the ML's father was killed and also framed, and the FL's family just don't have any love for her at all.
Now after all this, is it me who kind of wished that after the first episode, they went back to like the beginning of it all in the next episode and actually see the process of all that had happened? Idk, I am very curious about... wouldn't mind just 5-10 eps of it honestly if done really well (smth like LOTDT). (P.S. if this wasn't at all in the novel, then ignore me lol but I still think it would've been a nice addition.) But yeah, rn, I am looking forward to seeing how the two leads will come to work together and go for their revenge.
Also, for those who watched Love in Pavilion:
