Many replying and I do like Gongjun playing Su Muyu. BUT... The potential for the actor (Cheng Hongxin) who plays Su Muyu in Dashing Youth? I'm ngl, I actually would've LOVED to have seen him here as well. He plays in both Moonlight Mystique and Coroner's Diary and he is phenomenal. He did so well in Dashing Youth as well that I was shocked when I learned him in MM was Su Muyu lol. BUT I am still looking forward to this. Gongjun may not be a favorite of mine, but I'm looking forward to his performance a lot here. I think he'll do great considering that they casted him.

I'm enjoying this too but I'm very much enjoying The Wanted Detective which seems to be very underrated instead. The ratings don't match how great it is.

Yeah I love his natural self that we see in ADWAD, so it's pretty sad he wasn't initially casted where we got to see more range in his acting as it's much easier when you're on the set with other cast members. And ofc, the AI face swap wouldn't be needed like we mentioned.

I don't really look too much into this stuff but I believe he did. He even went to jail so I think likely he won't be able to act again? Btw can you clarify what do you mean by him versus someone else?

Ofc. If you try to compare Li Qing in ADWAD and LOTFG, you can prob see the difference. Anyways yes they did pretty good with the AI face swap bc at the same time, it also doesn't look edited if you don't know about it. It's just to me, since I watched Li Qing b4, I notice the unnatural feel, and find his face fitting better with his own body and not being edited in the drama :)

I like Cheng Lisu and enjoy watching him, but the more I watch, I am feeling like he doesn't feel natural enough due to the AI face swap, and I feel bad for the actor bc he was so so good in ADWAD 😭😭 If they had just casted him initially, it would've made his character feel more natural! But considering the AI swap, he did his best, and so did the editors! But yeah, he's definitely more natural in ADWAD to me, and I also didn't like that in LOTFG they dubbed him (but I get why... I mean everyone except Bai Shu seems to be dubbed) unlike there... Like look... he's such a cutie!

And I think we should respect the FL even if we may not ship him with the ML~ To make it short, Li Lun is like the one where it was not meant to be or work out due to their miscommunications, misunderstandings, different values, etc., Wen Xiao is the one where he finds peace, warmth, and calmness, sharing a mature kind of and mutual relationship, and Yichen is like that deep and passionate love that he sought for and needed where he could show other sides of him, like his vulnerability, more freely (you can think of them as yin & yang for example).

Idk about y'all but I watched ADWAD and I'm missing Shanhu a lot there, so when I found out he'd be in this drama, I was so happy bc I'll be seeing him again! And I have to say he is doing really well, esp for someone who had to mostly (or only) film scenes alone which ain't easy! But tbh, the fact that he's dubbed here makes his character give off a different vibe lol... Like I wished he used his own voice instead bc it sounds so much more natural! 😭 But anyways he is doing so well himself! I can tell it's not his body either tho (if I'm not wrong) which can be a bit distracting lmaoooo but I still think they did a pretty good job with it... Anyways, I can't imagine how much hard work it takes lol

Yes I watched it and it's soo good!! I esp loved the Marquis X Zhixing arc~ It was my favorite! So I was ngl... sad, when their arc finished, as it lasted for around 2/3-3/4 of the drama 😭😭
