We got Ao Ruipeng, Cheng Hongxin (Mu Jiu), Pan Junya (Ling Long), Zhang Xin (Tian Huo), Liang Xuefeng (Chen Ye / Qi Feng), Liu Runming (Xiu Yan), Cui Shaoyang (Nan Wan)... There's a lot... I can't believe that like can we actually get some interactions between them in the drama? That would be so cool! Nonetheless, I've been looking forward to this drama! Can't wait for it to air aahhh!!

Ig you should def look forward to his reunion with Tian Jiarui in VoS then, where they were enemies (FoF) and now will become lovers... I mean friends (VoS) 🫣

But also look forward to Hidden Shadow! Looks like it's likely to air at the end of February! 😍

Since Yuanzhou lived for sooooo years, he was able to cultivate enough to get a "true" form~ For Bai Jiu and Ying Lei... Bai Jiu was veeery young, so he surely didn't cultivate enough for that... And since he's a third of a human, god, and demon, maybe it'd be more difficult...? :( And for Ying Lei, I'm not entirely sure either... 😭 These two deserved so much better.... But anyways, Yichen couldn't kill Yuanzhou without extracting his soul or else he will regret it for the rest of his life which shows how much Yuanzhou means to him. Ofc Ying Lei and Bai Jiu do too, but... ☹️ Okay, nvm about this, I just want to imagine that Ying Lei and Bai Jiu reunite after their deaths atp 😭 And Pei Siheng being originally a human and becoming a puppet... I have no hope 😣 (Imma just imagine they meet in the afterlife tho, all of them, to find peace)

But yeah, I really can't forget what Li Lun did to Ying Lei. After all the times they said Li Lun wouldn't do anything to Ying Lei bc of his grandfather Ying Zhao, he did it in the end, and that reversed what Li Lun said in the earlier eps, and even what Aoyin and Yuanzhou said later... this is one of the reasons I feel like Ying Lei was supposed to live... and also, bc, yk... the fight scene... whatever happened there, I didn't like it... not gonna say anymore or else it'll turn into a rant skfdjskfs but anyways...
That means if Ying Lei lived thru the fight, then Bai Jiu would've also lived... And for sure Ying Lei wouldn't allow him to die... Yk, the scene where Bai Jiu sacrificed himself to save Yichen... Oh, Ying Lei won't allow that at all and instead would figure out another way to save Yichen that wouldn't ultimately lead to his own death, bc yk, he's a really smart mountain god (in him, I trust)... Oh, the writers, what were you thinking killing this cute duo off 😤

Hahaha yay I love that!! Love that we have the same favorite duos aahhh!! And ngl, I'm still rewatching (I'M SO SLOW SKDFJSDKFS)! I'm not ready to watch the next eps but will eventually LOL and wow cool that you became a fan of TJR thru TikTok! Wow, have fun watching MJTY! His character is veeery different there! He's got an evil(?) and dark side to him, it's really nice to watch! Very different from Yichen and you'll be blown away more by his acting! That's what made me love him more after going from MJTY to FoF! His acting is incredible! Never praised an actor like this b4 either ngl (besides Chengyi)! And the way TJR is extroverted while Neo seems more introverted (opposites from their own characters) is so cute lol so I love watching their cute BTS together!

And yesss hahaha look forward to Li Lun and Yichen in another universe who end up becoming really close with each other hehe~ I've known Yanan for many years so even tho I didn't like Li Lun much at first, at the same time, I couldn't truly hate him LOL and honestly in a way that helped me understand his character more as I digged deeper into him~ Also watching Yanan in the VoS shooting, he's much more like his character there irl!

Omg, you're already on ep 30? I cried sooo hard when Ying Lei died! I COULDN'T!!!! I couldn't stop crying for the entire day and even kept crying the next day !!! Also yk his death still... I have sooo many complaints about it but I'm not gonna say it here lol! Just gonna say it definitely could've and should've been prevented... that's all!

But anyways, fun fact! Those words Ying Lei said "I'm scared" was actually not in the script! Xu Zhenxuan actually said those words himself! It was an adlib! Bc he felt that Ying Lei was really scared to die and leave the world :( I'm so sad! And I feel like Ying Lei was definitely the closest to Bai Jiu and Yichen~ This trio was everything to me! But what's with this loss? Why did it have to break apart like this? :( I miss Ying Lei and seeing him with Bai Jiu! It breaks my heart so much! You must've watched the next episode by now, and omg... The way Bai Jiu couldn't stop thinking about Ying Lei... Why didn't we get their reunion when he came back? This was too much for my heart! 😭

And yeah, Wen Xiao... I also have a love-hate relationship with her. I love her, but the biggest problem is still about how she keeps staying on the ground... If this was real life, no one would want to sit on the ground like that lmaooo it's too cold, the snow... While she's wearing that? I won't give examples, but yeah, despite that, I still love her as character~ It was just disappointing for me to see her always sitting during these life-and-death situations. So yeah, ngl, like you said, that slap from Pei Sijing... Idk, but I liked it 🫣

Also I'm curious! Who's your favorite duo? For me, Yuanzhou and Yichen. I just feel attached to their strong emotional bond and connection. They really love each other, you can see it so clearly~ These two are truly soulmates~ Even Yuanzhou said it and Yichen didn't deny it which means he accepted it 🥹 Love them so much! I love how these two balance each other so well, growing together by complementing each other (like yin and yang)~ It's like they complete each other as they both cloak each other's weaknesses (notice how the cloak could be a metaphor but also literal in the way they covered each other with their own cloaks during their depressive states before). So beautiful! (Sorry, hope this was not unnecessary, just wanted to add my take about them!)

My favorite duo after them is definitely Ying Lei and Bai Jiu! They are the cutest duo ever! I can tell they really loved and cared for each other so much too :( Lowkey felt sad for Ying Lei tho bc I know he wanted to be that older brother figure Bai Jiu looked up to and was jealous of Yichen bc of that, but nonetheless, we know their love for each other is still up there and strong 🥺

And hahaha yay it's nice to see a Tian Jiarui fan! I watched MJTY last year and it was so fun and interesting watching him for the first time (I mean, duh... that was his only drama) 😆 And since you're watching MJTY, are you rewatching it? Then how'd you become his fan? I'd honestly love to rewatch it one day for him tho ngl 😂 But yeah, I'm looking forward to "Take Me Where The Clouds Rise" out of the dramas he's finished filming so far! Hoping they can release it soon this year! A fun fact I learned as I learnt about him from MJTY was that we share the same birthday haha~ So it's like, even if this is a small connection, I love thinking about how he's my birthday twin but how I'm his fan too? So yeah, really cool TMI (sorry, that was unnecessary xD).

Like Stellovet said, Veil of Shadows will be so fun bc we got three reuniting from FoF! And guess what... You are definitely not gonna hate Yanan's (Li Lun) character this time! In fact, it looks like we'll be seeing a cute bromance between his and Tian Jiarui's character which is an incredibly nice contrast! Have seen some BTS and can't wait to see it on the screen! Love how they literally go from enemies to friends (lovers lmao this is a joke tho I'm lowkey shipping them bc of FoF skfjdskfs)!

I'm back here to say that I rewatched ep 30 recently and uhhh... I still watched it 😭😭 I still hate how they did his death ughhh 😔😠

Yes! They have more screentime too in here! I watched this b4 "I am Nobody" but when I was still waiting for all the eps to get released for "Dashing Youth" and found out that "I am Nobody" had like three of the "Dashing Youth" cast in it, I HAD to watch it, especially after learning that Neo and Luorong have a bromance in it hehe~ Also I'll tell you about who the third actor is~ The one in "I am Nobody" who plays the character Feng Xingtong plays Baili Dongjun's master (the younger version of him)! He is too dashing, I am really in awe... So if you haven't seen him yet, watch out for him ;)

There are definitely many tragic ending Chinese historical dramas out there but I've only watched 20+ so not enough of it yet, but yes... This one is worse 😭 Good luck in watching it lol I remember crying BUCKETS even tho I already lowkey knew the ending 😔 At least at the end of FoF Yuanzhou actually gets a happy ending (his soul flying to Yichen already tells us this)~

Btw wow the fact that the MLs in both this drama and FoF are named Yuanzhou DANG okay 😂😂

And the fact that this is even worse than FoF oof except the way the deaths happened here makes more sense~ I still don't like the way Ying Lei was killed off... The writing was just not it for me... It didn't make sense, oh well 🙃
