You can definitely tell this was a shoujo manga adaptation but at the same time there aren't any of those typical corny scenes most adaptations have. I'm so glad I found this. I haven't watched many manga adaptations (much less read the manga these dramas were adapted from) but imo this one is one of the top ones out of the ones I've watched. But well, I'm still a newbie when it comes to jdramas, so if anyone wants to recommend other dramas (preferably romance) I'm all for it!!
I don't think this is a spoiler because the sypnosis writes that they eventually become 'gods'. (but if it is, tell me I'll mark it as a spoiler).
I just have a question: How are the Baili brothers and ming ye feng SO calm and unfazed by the fact that they are gods? The moment when they "levelled up" and became gods with powers was severely lacking to me because we don't really get a sense of how they feel about suddenly finding out they are gods. And honestly, this bugs me because now it's becoming very hard to empathise with their thoughts and actions EMOTIONALLY. Through the brain I get they want revenge but it doesn't reach my heart, doesn't really make me root for them nor feel anything at all. I'm at episode 39 and just watching for the sake of finishing it.
I'm already at episode 11 and all I've seen is SS getting sick and people chasing them and thats about it... tell me it gets better.... I've been skipping a lot and this is a bad sign
How does a company cover its production costs if a drama's airdate gets delayed for so long?? Like this has been delayed for at least 2 years now, and if it never gets aired then all the hard work put in by the production crew and actors are basically wasted?
Besides the comedy and relationship between characters of the show, I really like the acting here. Sohyun, Dongyoon, Tae-oh, and Joonho acted really well, especially Dongyoon and Tae-oh. Really hope Tae-oh gets a proper LEADING role next time!!!
I have been watching this slowly over the span of the last 3 weeks. 75% of this drama is mostly comedy and cute dynamics between characters, which was what made me stay sane during the busy periods of my university term. The strength of this drama really lies in the characters and their dynamics with each other. I really enjoyed the brotherhood and friendship the characters shared. Plot-wise... not the best. I didn't know where the drama was heading most of the time, some scenes were just stupid ridiculous (done to dramatise things). What really kept me going was the characters and their interactions with each other.
If people are feeling hesitant to watch this because there isn't any kissing scenes or a lot of romance scenes, please know that I was once in your shoes because I love the Bai Lu/Xu Kai OTP. Honestly, I don't know if this feeling came from the fact that many romantic scenes were cut out from the drama, but I feel that compared to romance between the FL and ML, it was more of platonic, like siblings or like BFFs. Well... since the drama managed to pull off such a platonic-feeling relationship between ML and FL, people shouldn't be /too/ disappointed at the lack of romance scenes.
Really, trust me. I doubt you will crave for more romance scenes if your mind is open when watching this drama. Let yourself be carried through the story naturally and you will find yourself enjoying the friendship and cute interactions between many characters.
Judging from the way his mouth moves when he speaks, he is definitely speaking Chinese. But I don't think the drama is using his real voice, he is being voice dubbed by someone else. I say this because I recognize the voice dubber :)
drop, you've watched the better parts of the drama, it mostly gets worst after that. there are some nice shipping…
I'm waiting for Love & Destiny to be fully subbed before watching :) While I do like a good plot, sometimes politics in historical cdramas can get very confusing or dry for me, which is why I dropped Nirvana in Fire and Rise of Phoenixes (ngl the ML in Phoenixes has very good acting). Haven't heard of Young Blood! I'll check it out soon! Thanks :)

I've heard of the untamed! I will probably give that one a try. I already tried Go go squid but alas.. gaming dramas and just the whole light romcom genre in general is not for me (I kinda get bored of them real quick, like the popular Put Your Head On My Shoulder drama too) . Thanks for the recommendations cations:) I just really hope more historical dramas can air quickly hahahah

Yikes.... For the Nth time I'm at crossroads again.. to continue or discontinue??? Why do cdramas do this TT Starting off cool and interesting then dying down because of snail pacing or draggy and repetitive plots :(

Wait Asule really gets involved with various women?? I can stand everything just being a BFFs thing but if hes gonna have several romantic relationships with other women then..............
Sooo I've been waiting for this drama to end and from some comments the ending is incomplete??? Do I watch or…
I just started this drama and its not that bad so far (I'm at episode 19). The production value is really off the roofs though. As for the ending, I've found someone stating hints as to what happened here: https://imgur.com/a/DJdQAPg. I decided to just watch the drama after all and prepare myself to imagine what the ending is like along from the hints I saw from the link :)
