1. As I mentioned before, once that watch is returned to the owner, it will start ticking and her life will start ticking as well. As her father told her, the tree and the watch are connected to her. When she was thrown down the well, the watch was left behind, and she practically didn't exist until 2023. So, when the watch touched her hand, time caught up.
2. The tombstone. The writing on the tombstone, "The Virtuous Woman" was only half completed. After she finally saw the past and the present, the rest of the writing was completed.
It means that the past has been finally "corrected" and closed.
3. The diary of her past mother, which is in the hands of her mother's reincarnation, started to show up new writings.
Like in #2, it means that the past finally settled in and set in stone.
The FL committed suicide.
Notice how there wasn't any information what happened to her in the past. There was no record no matter how the 2023 ML tried to look. That was because the past was tampered with and not yet set in stone.
Two people, most especially the FL, suddenly disappeared from time.
Now that the FL reconnected with the past, it has been sealed. Her death, as a Virtuous Woman, was finally recorded.
I think this was because she already made her choice to stay in 2023. If her heart was still set in returning to Joseon when she reconnected to the past, the writing on the tombrtone would be removed instead. Which means she eventually returned.
However, the reverse happened, which meant she chose to stay in 2023. Not only that, time finally caught up.
Q: Did they find a body in the well? A: Maybe after the past was corrected.
The other reason why originally no information about the FL can be found was because they did not find her body. No body = no conclusion = no records.
But when the watch was returned to her, and she reconnected to her past with the intention to stay in 2023, the past changed and they found a body in the well, probably the 2nd FL too.
Thus, the writing on the tombstone was completed and the diary of her mother suddenly have new entries.
If her heart was still set to return to Joseon, they would've found her alive. No writing on the tombstone. And the diary would be different.
Now we know she's staying in 2023. And we'll, the 2FL was the first who decided to stay, the 1FL just haven't realised it. So the clue was there all the time.
The past is complete. Fixed. Now a history.
From episode 9 onwards, it's a war in the present to stop history from repeating itself.
1. The FL is the one the ML is dreaming. 2. The FL was the original being who had that power. 3. The power wasn't exactly a "demon" power. When it was with the FL, it was an angelic power. 4. Something happened in the past and it transferred to ML. 5. The power turned into a demon power with the ML. 6. 2023, the power simply returned to the rightful owner. 7. FL still doesn't remember how to use it.
They're using Christian "mythology" (if you will). * Fallen angels. An angelic power turned demon power. * "Cross". If you invert it, it becomes "demonic". It being on the wrist, it can either be upright or inverted cross. * The FL, being a good person, can use the power for good. * The ML, being greedy and selfish, the power turns into a demonic power. * The power itself isn't good or evil, it is on the user.
I really hate this show, after todays episode I felt so annoyed. It shows that peoples votes really don't actually…
They never said that fan votes will be considered in every round.
They explain which round will take into consideration the fan votes. In this latest round, it's pure judges.
Which is right. If it's going to be influenced heavily by fan votes, why bother with judges? Let's just have fan vote everyone.
The judges are there to balance things out. Let's be honest here, fan voting is practically "whoever can amass the most number votes", not because the contestant is talented.
Notice how there are talented girls who are not getting enough fan votes. As sad as it may be, it means they don't have enough "machinery" to collect votes. It takes tremendous support to convince people to spend time and money to vote for you. (Not to mention, multiple accounts.)
So, if fan votes are always taken into consideration, then those without votes, even if they're talented, might as well quit.
WAIT. Liao is NOT Chinese, the Khitans who founded Liao were a Mongolic people. Neither Goryeo, Jurchens, nor…
Well, that depends which historical record you subscribe to. As far as "accepted" history is concerned, China itself considers Liao/Khitan tribe (even the Mongols) as one of the many Chinese tribes.
:)
It appears that you subscribe to the Han-only Chinese school-of-thought. That's fair, the question of who is Chinese has been debated since before the Song Dynasty (IIRC) but dynasties like Song and latter, continually expanded the definition of "Chinese" until it eventually reached its widest definition (and borders for that matter) during the ROC government.
So, it's just a matter of which school-of-thought you subscribe to as to who is Chinese. Those who supported a wide definition, at least as far history is concerned, are the ones who eventually prevailed. But those who subscribe to a very restrictive definition do still exist to this day.
I loved reading your analysis of the kdrama “Grid”. I would love to read your analysis of this drama
Assuming they're in the real world.
1. The sound they hear is what's controlling their minds. There's a theory how sounds can be attuned to a specific person.
2. There must be speakers around the area, especially near the boundary lines outside. So when they were on the mountain, they still can die.
3. They probably got into an experiment. Some psycho wants to perfect their mind control technology. Or, wants to study how humans react to certain conditions (which you can't just do under normal circumstances). (Actually, there were cases before of government experiments controlling or manipulating small towns to study human behaviour and all other stuff. Supposedly, it is no longer happening today.)
4. The Ghost. The Ghost is playing the game because the only way to return back to life is to have a new class and new survivor to replace them. The retreat center is cursed. There must always be sacrifices. The only way the Ghost can go back to real life is for this new class to finish the game, who in turn will become the next ghost.
5. Or. The ghost was a hallucination. Remember, the sounds can control their minds.
Still, I think the ghost needs a replacement. When the 1FL dreamt she's the only one left, the ghost was after her, as if the ghost made sure she's the last student alive.

Thank you!
Unfortunately, I have nothing for the one. Hehe.
My only analysis is, we're watching a game.
Remember when they were on the bus and Miss Programmer was coding something? At some point she compiled and ran the program, and the camera closed up to the monitor and slowly the scene changed to the road they're taking.
Because of that, I'm suspecting that what we are watching is the program or game she created. At the end of the show, we'll probably see them just arriving rt the school, and then their teacher and the staff of the retreat center all left.
Which will leave the audience wondering if the game was reset, thus we're still inside the game, or it's about to happen for real this time. But the story ends there, leaving it open for interpretation.
OR, the ending would be their teacher returns the following morning. While all the students were still waking up from a mysterious slumber, having had a collective dream (there's a theory about collective dreams). Their teacher just wondering what happened because they're all crying and started to apologise to each other.
Meanwhile, Miss Programmer's software is still running and the ghost showed her face. Which leaves the audience wondering if they indeed woke up back in real life, or, it's "Stage 2".
When they were reviewing the CCTV footage and the CPU overheated mysteriously. The monitor moved by itself.
Yet no one reacted.
Hence, it's hard to tell if it was part of the plot and they forgot to react. Or a staff moved it, so when the filmed the same scene and started editing, they chose two scenes where the monitor moved.
Maybe, the past FL was the one who did it to him, as a punishment?

Also, it was not in the rules that fan votes are taken into consideration for this round.
This round is pure judges.

1. Was she still dreaming?
2. Did the past change?
3. Or, they showed us an alternate timeline wherein she made a different choice?
Explain your choice of answer. :)
1. The sound they hear is what's controlling their minds. There's a theory how sounds can be attuned to a specific person.

Both shows are airing too as of this post.
