I'm still at 25:00 mark.I'm suspecting the evil spirit inside Mr. Ma was a former Counter or former power source…
Haha. true that. There's too much focus on energy/telepathy-type power, as well as, focus on the evil spirits. It's like watching a whole new show.

I hope the reason they are establishing the evil hierarchy and introducing Level 3+ powers is because the have a plan for a Season 3 showdown.

Ep.06
I'm still at 25:00 mark.

I'm suspecting the evil spirit inside Mr. Ma was a former Counter or former power source from heaven that turned evil. Something like a fallen angel.

And the only one who can keep it under control is Mr. Ma.

Title King the Land Spoiler
It made everything predictable, and the scene with their dinner less impactful.
And no one use “calling it quits” during a break-up, unless it was a fling, or some arrangement to make someone jealous and they end up having feelings.

It's a very weird way to word break-ups. “I'm done”. They're not even fighting for her to say those words. Hehe.

They shouldn't have shown that scene with her grandmother.

The dream should have been of Dojin because Seol don’t have any reason for having the dream as she likes ML.…
But that guy was shown being blown-up after he tried to enter.

Also, he was on the other side of the building, he can't possibly just appear a few seconds on the other side.

If I heard correctly (elsewhere), they're already scheduled to film S03.
Some Facebook group. I wouldn't take it seriously, you know, rumours are rumours until officially announced.

If Season 02 is any indication, they won't announce it until they finished filming.

Title Revenant
I rewatched that scene multiple times. It was so powerful. The entire desire of the ghost to live was summed up…
I totally agree! She needs a movie where she can showcase her talents. Every genre and role she tried, she excelled at, it's about time to bring those back to full length movies, especially since that's where she started. She grew since her first movie, I can't even imagine what she'll be able to do.

She does have Alienoid, but it was more about the story than showcasing her many talents. She needs another Handmaiden film where she's the focus.

Her agency needs to find a writer that can do that for her. Like for IU's “Hotel del Luna”, it was not so much about the story, it was a showcase of IU's beauty and talent as an actor. Tae Ri needs that, but for a movie, to showcase who she is today.

She'll probably grab every award! LOL.

Yep. It's why I'm thinking she her theater acting was a great help, I'm suspecting she didn't have to do method acting (if she was taught how to do it) and simply pulled from her theater experience.

In theater acting, you need to have a solid and loud voice, good expressions, and expressive movements so the audience can clearly see and hear, without overdoing it. And it in case you need to switch characters or emotions, it's also easier because you're not wearing the character.

Not like in method acting, you have to wear the character and forget you were simply acting.

---

Yep, there were cases of method acting that went too far, some took a psychological toll. I suddenly remember Emma Watson in one Harry Potter scene. If I remember the article correctly, she was not satisfied with their first takes, so she did method acting. Their director was against it and was already fine with what they have. But Emma pushed for one last take.

The result was so realistic, everyone, including her fellow actors, were scared of her, the director immediately called cut even though it was not yet their agreed length for the scene.

They thought Emma has gone overboard. Emma said that she was in control but that she understands. They eventually used that scene.

I guess it's fine if method acting is used for anything but psychological thrillers, gothic, suspense, horror. Otherwise, if one loses control…

You are right, Kim Tae Ri can deliver without using method acting. I guess her real self being jolly is also a factor? It allowed her to take those ghost scenes without losing herself because of her happy nature. At least from her interviews, she's always laughing and enjoying herself.

Then again… not everyone who laughs… ahh, let's not go there. Tae Ri is just a superb, highly talented actor. The type that is born once a century. ^_^

Yep, it does look like method acting. Theater acting and method acting have overlaps, the difference mainly is the former the actor doesn't have to embody the character, allowing them to shift characters like in Kim Tae Ri's case.

I'm no expert of course. Only based on what I've read and what I've observed. (And method acting is frowned upon, especially in scenes like this, the staff gets scared or the actor fails to get out of their character.)

But Kim Tae Ri, yeah, she showed full control. Super crazy.

When her real character returned to her body, Tae Ri was still crying, showing the emotion of the character pitying the ghost, having fully understood the ghost. Yet her face was different, back to being San Young.

I wish they release the behind-the-scenes, I am super curious how they filmed that scene and how many takes they did. It must have been exhausting for Tae Ri.

Title Revenant Spoiler
The jade pin Hyangi used to stab the shaman, that was her way to possess the body of San Young. Hyangi knew it,…
Yep.

Although that bit is unclear. We can only assume that it became an object to possess a body because she used it to kill the powerful shaman.

Then when she became a vengeful ghost, she realised the importance of it, and waited patiently for a good host.

Don't worry if it was confusing, because that broken jade pin was only added at the last part with not much explanation. If I remember correctly, the only explanation they offered was the professor realising it belonged to the shaman, so it can not be the real 5th object.
