Episode 110 was so sad. But it also showed us what real human nature is: no matter our differences, no matter how damaged our relationships are, we still come together as a family … united as one unit.

I love this episode because of that. Well done!

For Viu, even if we say that there are so many Viu regions hence they can not list Viu … Netflix also have different regions and yet Netflix is listed sans region availability.

So yeah, it's really hard to figure out why iQIYI and Viu are not being shown even though the relevant links were approved.

I'm not sure but my guess is they are showing only their partners. Like Viki, I think they are offering a discount for Viki sub if you use their affiliate code (I can't remember where I saw this).

It is also especially "damaging" for the sub-only services whenever iQIYI and Viu offers the same show for free, even without logging-in.

Or, #3, they can not confirm if iQIYI and Viu are official channels or simply licensees.

For example, let's assume Netflix partnered with a Korean tv/cable network and thus did not get an exclusive streaming deal for it. The TV/cable network also have the rights to decide if they want to license the show to other streaming services. Maybe, this TV/cable network licensed it iQIYI and Viu but they can only air their free episode 1 week after it aired on TV/cable and Netflix.

By not showing iQIYI and Viu in MDL's listing, they are "helping" in not spreading the news that a particular "paid" show in Netflix (again as an example) is available for free in another service, though 1 week late. I think I've encountered one or two with this setup, it's paid elsewhere but free in iQIYI after 1 week.

Those are my guesses.

The IRIS franchise, including Athena: Goddess of War, was too early for its time in K-Drama industry. No one believed in sequels and spin-offs but they did it.

It was also one of the few K-Dramas which aired in cable channels, in some countries it also had subtitles.

The label "main role" is misleading. In other countries, it's "series regular" and "guests" only. If you signed up as a "series regular", you're paid even if you don't appear in a few episodes.

I'm not sure how it is in South Korea. I guess their contracts are "main lead", "support role", and "guest"? And no-appearance-no-pay?

If you look at it, those labeled as "support roles" in MyDramaList are actually "series regulars". If anything, the real "support roles" are those who appear as "series regulars" but were not given any dialogues. But in Jin Joo's case, she always have dialogues, that's no longer a "support role".

If you like crying … this is what you need to watch. It's a story about love, family, and relationships more than it is a romantic one. ^_^

Viu

It depends. Since "The Beginning" was not a "flashback" but an independent story, it's fine to start with it and then end with "The Final".

But if you like to follow the thinking or thought process of the writer, author, and director, it's better to watch it in "release order".

Personally, as long as there are no spoilers in a prequel and it doesn't require knowing the characters first for the prequel to have an impact or to make sense, I always choose to watch (or read) in chronological order.

In this case, again personally, since "The Beginning" is standalone, it's safe to start with it. ^_^

When Cha Tae Hyun is involved, you know it's going to be very fun to watch. =))
