I think the reasons why most pre-2010 Japanese dramas are more popular because before that time Asian dramas wasn't that famous outside and from mid 2000s I believe it started to became popular, most of people I know all began to be a Jdrama fans from watching Hana yori dango, Hana Kimi and Ita kiss.
And they also recommend most of them for others who are not yet into Asian dramas, I even found some people knows about Hana Kimi or ita kiss without even watching them.
So, being first and recommendations

The second reason IMO is probably because all the dramas you listed as popular here -and other of course- were so good and unique like classic movies that you never get bored with and you can watch them all the time, they are timeless gems, and that's why they made many remakes from same/other countries, and it might be only my opinion but I think all the originals are much better than the remakes, though I LOVED the remake of Ita kiss, but the original feels different, feels more special.
That's why I believe the pre2010 dramas are more popular.

This pretty much tickled some serious issues for 16YO kids, some of them are not common tbh yet I could remember seeing -and being- like some of the characters here.
The only fall down here is that the whole world of these teenagers are just the school, classroom to be specific, no adult presented in this made it somehow unrealistic, most of it I'd be like, "where are her parents?" Or "why couldn't he just talk to his dad" or something like that. Adults are there or a reason.
Even with no parents, teachers are there -well, supposedly they are lol-
Overall, it wasn't bad.

On Yakuza and the Family Nov 8, 2021
I'm not into the Yakuza movies but I love Go ayano and I read someone's comment here to watch it right now without hesitation and I found myself immediately watching it lol.
It could be better tbh, it's 2 hours 15 and yet it was so fast paced, they didn't show how the Yakuza treat their brothers, as far as they showed only Yamamoto with his friends before and after they became Yakuza so I can't really understand the loyalty he showed everyone, also the romantic aspect of his life was so dull, the whole movie goes like, they show a scene and we should understand that it -supposedly- has deep emotions in it and we should get them but I couldn't feel any emotions from any character to the other, the only character I could understand his behaviour was tsubasa -and later hosono, dude did a great job- beside that none.
It's a good fast paced drama about the Yakuza, that is it, you can skip it if you want.

It's a basic romance drama of a rich/poor impossible love -And it depends on the writer to make it with happy or sad end- this one has nothing exceptional about it yet it is very enjoyable and the characters were well written and realistic.
Recommended for basic rom-drama lovers.

I only watched this because of Lusi and I'm not regretting it, the first ep kinda put me off but it became better by the second ep, the first half of the drama was good then -like most Chinese dramas- it dragged too much in the second half.
I don't hate it but I didn't like it very much tbh, I skipped most of the second half but overall it wasn't bad.

Loved it, though it's a bit predictable but still you can easily enjoy the unique story.

Amazing!!! I enjoyed every minute.
It was very good and the ending was fine, I think I prefer it to an unrealistically happy/sad end.
I LOVE Do-hoon he is super cute and he reminds me of Ahn Eun-jin whom I am a fan of, they look so similar that I can't help but love him more
I wish to see him and Sang-nam together in a drama they were a perfect duo and I loved their friendship here.
I think this is how rom-com Kdramas should be, it has no boring scenes not unnecessarily long episodes and for a fantasy drama the ending was realistic and acceptable. I'm not saying it's the best kdrama out there but it just missing everything that I get annoyed with in Kdramas lately which made it special and highly recommended.

Title Asuka High School March! Spoiler
Episode 8 scene was the best, all of a sudden everyone's properly in their uniforms and hair styled dress-code…
Yes, and when they all dressed as girls to have lunch with her xD I miss this drama already.

I'm not usually a fan of web dramas because they tend to be to short or the acting would be unbearable, but I liked this one, the only thing that bothered me is why Woo Hyuk doesn't have a scar lol, I kept thinking where is the damn scar xD he should have one. Come on!! Have some respect for our minds

Oh.My.God!!!
This was so intense, I feel very emotional after this.
The story is as old as times and it is by no mean a new or there is anything unique about it, from the beginning till the twist and the ending. But the acting was on point!!! Per-Fec-Tioooooon it was amazing I enjoyed every single second of it without getting bored at all. The execution was brilliant really, *claps*claps* I loved every character from the good to the evil to the crazy!! All actors were wow!!! Just wow!!! Highly highly recommended!!!!! If you are into any type of action revenge you are going to love this no doubt.

Ok so, ehm! What was that? XD
Well it had potential, but it was extremely rushed that I can't even say if I liked it or not, if it was longer maybe but I think it was a low budget movie so I can't really complain but I think I'd appreciate it more if it was a full length movie because I love the mixed idea of romance/horror. The acting was good I don't know any of the actors here but they did a decent job.
And I have to say the ghost was kinda cute lol his appearance was so funny I don't blame Hajun for loving him really xD and I liked the additional touch of fun there.
Anyway it's a good extremely-short movie and I think if this was to be made into a full length movie or a drama I'd definitely watch it.

On Asuka High School March! Nov 2, 2021
I liked this one, it's more like the life-drama-less-comedy Hana Kimi but it still has some comedy in it, specially ep 8 was hilarious xD
I LOVE THE GRANDPA he is amazing and the teacher too, they both are my favourite characters here. One downside to this drama was the ML, I like Aruto but tbh Tamaki seemed like the ML more, he has more screen time, he was better with Yoshino and I can somehow visualise the grandpa and his 3 siblings, feeding them his weird meals and taking care of them.
Plus Aruto was too stiff and his problem with that creepy lady got solved in a hurry which made everything seems stupid. Her existence itself is weird in the drama, she is freakin everywhere!!!! She pops up at every place lol yet she suddenly poof! Go away.
The soundtrack of this was good too I enjoyed it.
Recommended.

I LOVE THIS DRAMA and I really needed more, I wish it was longer, at least 10 ep or so, it was too short!!
I love every character and the stories they represent as painful as they are they still touched me I hardly get moved by a drama or a movie but I got moved by the second story here it was well and painfully done
I highly recommend it it's short and the acting was good I wish it had some romance here only because I LOVE Nao she is super pretty and cute and It's the first thing I ever saw for Isomura Hayato but I love their chemistry together. I wish they'd be a couple in another drama

Title Life: Love on the Line Spoiler
It's a really good drama and gives you a good feelings after it's finished.
BUT!! -and it's a general complaint- why oh why!?
Why do most of the romance dramas have this thing in the middle of the story where the couple break up in a very terrible way and they they can't stay away and get back together for the happy ending at last!?
I'm sick of it, really!

I swear to god, if I ever met someone as persistent as Yamato I'd definitely give him a black eye in 2 mins.
Guy is as persistent as a mosquito!!!!!
I quite like this movie and I enjoyed the beginning and the middle of it, the last 20 mins or so was a bit slow and I do not know if it was based on something and they wanted to add this part in the movie -the part covered in the last 30 mins I mean- but it was ok, how everything ended was abrupt like how suddenly Yamato accept everything including Mitsumi's feelings, I didn't see any transition from normal friendship to love from Yamato. It seemed forced a little.
The acting was good

I really enjoyed it and it has no negative points at all IMO.
Highly recommended for a feel good time 💖

There were not a moment of peace in this movie, from the first second till the last one it was full of action and movement, I love the 2 main leads so I knew it was going down a treat and it didn't disappoint me, as someone who didn't read the manga I was fully satisfied with this.
Highly recommended.
