Oh shit, this is perfect 😭. I've been hesitant to watch it because I've read that the ending probably isn't my thing, but I wanted to at least give it a try.... now I've watched six episodes throughout the night (it's now 4am 🤦♂️) and I don't know what to do! On one hand it's like a drug, I'm hooked and don't want to stop, on the other hand I'm scared of the end.... 😭 This is a masterpiece, it's just perfect 😭❤️
Nope. I liked the movie much better. Overall, it's a good drama, but not really a good BL. There are too many things that were problematic for my taste.
For example: 1. what's the point of 12 episodes if you don't use them to the fullest? It felt like there were 5 episodes where the main characters didn't interact at all! The girl was completely unnecessary and had way too much screen time for my liking. And all the unnecessary flashbacks and pauses where you just stare at one person.... 2. there was literally no development in the relationship. One person confessed his love in the beginning, and then nothing. It was like it only occurred to them in the last episode, “oh yeah, it's supposed to be a bl, let's wrap this part up too”. In general I would have liked them to use the 12 episodes to show the mains growing together, building a relationship and coping with life (including living together, getting jobs etc) together, I would have enjoyed that a lot more.
Conclusion: the subject matter is interesting and overall it's a solid drama with good actors, but the BL aspect is seriously lacking. (Please keep in mind that I’m only expressing my personal opinion).
Lastly: Please feel free to enlighten me about the manga, is the BL part absent, too? Is there more to see about their relationship or their later lives? Or is the drama 1:1 based on the manga?
no im sorry 😭 it's great show though, maybe try it out some time later? it's really beautiful
Oh no…🥲 I was waiting for it to finish cause I already feared it wouldn’t have a happy end, but having it confirmed is jus so sad..😞 (I believe it’s an amazing series but I just can’t watch anything with a bad ending anymore, my heart is already damaged enough from other dramas 😭)
All in all, it's a nice and light drama. It has a good plot, generates enough emotion and seems to be well written. And there is Charles Tu ❤️
Nevertheless, there are 2 things that disappointed me a little: 1. the kisses and the caresses are too clean, too staged, lacking realism. And contributes to a strange distance between the couple (small details are missing in the whole drama, like small touches or eye contact in certain scenes, which also bothered me).
2. what was the ending? It made no sense to me at all because it literally made the point of the drama redundant? (SPOILER: I mean, he lost 6 years to start over with the help of his new found love and his good old friend who always supported him, only to disband the band again? He broke up with his manager and the young one didn't want to play anymore either? What was the point of them playing together in the first place? That disappointed me pretty much..
But these are just my personal thoughts, so please don't feel offended by it.
This one is a bit like the vertically filmed Chinese super short dramas (not vertically filmed, but it has a similar fast and superficial plot). Don't expect great depth or high caliber actors.
But for what it is, it's quite cute and entertaining to watch (like a little snack for in between lol). I liked it
Not sure I understand the ending scene. Can anyone elaborate?
Do you mean regarding DoHoe reading the messages? Dohoe uses JuYeongs laptop to study and found all the questions YuYeong asked in a forum to make DoHoe happy. (They start from the time when they were living together in the past and includes a message JuYeong wrote while they were apart (the I miss you). It’s beautiful cause it shows how much JuYeong cared about DoHoe (even from the start, DoHoe is his most important person, and everything he did was for DoHoes happiness)
Haha, yeah, I just finished the drama, and oh my, this is a first for me! I mean, in any other Chinese drama, the half-brother in the wheelchair would end up being the bad guy who could walk the whole time. It's really nice and refreshing that this character is a nice person. It would have been even better if he had gotten more airtime. Hopefully China will continue to stop with this cliché trope.
Just finished. The acting of the whole cast was amazing, and the chemistry of the main couple was great to watch.…
I already feared it would end like this. What a pity. I’m up to ep 8 and I really want to know something, could you please help me answer this: Did FL get at least a little revenge for being made a fool of by ML? Or is it one of the typical: oh, I accept everything with a smile, nothing happened at all (or I’m sad for 1 second but then everything is forgotten) – plotline?
Chinese drama is so cliché... I mean, seeing a man in a wheelchair in a historical setting can't mean anything other than => I bet he's evil 🤦♂️ (I honestly wish this drama would proof me wrong, but sadly, statistics proof me wrong and therefore, the chances are slim 😑)
So far, I’m up to ep 25 and well..I’d say it’s like this (beware the spoiler)FL loves ML since she’s a…
Oh my god, I just saw it, in the bathtub (/hot spring, whatever) of all places lol 🤣 what were the writers trying to tell the viewers? I mean, did they do it after he confessed, were they in a hurry with pregnancy or...? Sorry, it's just so funny, these two are weird, which is kind of endearing lol

I wish everyone was lucky enough to have a bond like these two ❤️
