I read some other review on tumblr and their interpretation of when Kurosawa told Adachi to calm down, sat him down and held his wrist, is that Kurosawa was willingly offering his mind to be read by Adachi in that moment but we all saw how Adachi rejected it and let go of his hand. I admit I didn't see it like that, what do you guys think?

And this is my personal take on another point but we keep saying Adachi in the end chose his power over Kurosawa and I honestly don't think Adachi even knew what he was doing at that moment. He was absolutely in no state to make any rational decision. He was having a mental breakdown, he was overwhelmed by too many conflicting emotions. What he needed in that moment was to run away and retreat to his shell. What Kurosawa offered (according to wetv subs) was to "end here". It could be the conversation or the relationship, it remains unclear to me but one thing is sure : Kurosawa understood Adachi needed a way out in that moment and he gave it to him. The ending of ep11 is simply Adachi running away from everything, his real choice is the one he will make later, after he collects himself and gets the time and space he needs. It's gonna be like Kurosawa's confession, it looked like a rejection but it wasn't. Adachi needs time to process things then give his final answer and I feel it will be the same here.

I vaguely remember the anime adaptation of this one. Didn't it have an almost-r*pe scene in the beginning? Because if it is then I don't care about it anyway

Yeah I was about to say the same thing lol. Like last week, I saw a number of comments saying "This show has gone…
Yeah, I'm glad it didn't turn ugly and at least the discussion is rather civil so far. I feel like people confuse their personal preference not being met with bad writing. Every writer has a vision and a message to convey, it might not be my personal preferred view or method to go on about it but if the writing does it in a way that makes me understand the reasoning behind theirs then I accept it. Logic and consistency is key in storytelling. It's like making a blanket statement that sad ending = bad and happy ending = good. Endings and any part of a story for that matter don't exist in a vacuum, they're a continuation and cohesive parts of a whole, it's not about its nature but whether it fits or not and imo what happened in ep11 totally does. This is the biggest crisis in Adachi's life and it might look too dramatic for us outsiders but for him, knowing his character and what happened so far, it all makes sense.

I think the episode did an amazing job at clearly showing the reasoning behind their actions and their thought process that led to the devastating but logical fracture. It all makes sense so I don't get the disappointment expressed by others.

Honestly, if people want to rate this lower, so shall it be. For me, the 11th episode was different but not in…
Those who think the reason for the breakup is stupid don't understand the characters or the story and there's nothing that can be done about it. We all have our own preferences for how a story should/could go but if the writer chooses a different route but does it so in a convincing way then I'm not about to complain.

The confession scene with English subs. I am bawling my eyes out :'(https://twitter.com/sawadikap_kenny/status/1339657630659137536
This hits even harder with subs. Adachi's insecurity, Kurosawa asking him to make a choice and the agonising silence while he waited for the answer and the heartbreak at hearing the one he didn't wanna hear....my heart can't take this :(
Kudos to both of them for nailing the acting

AaaaaahhhhhhI have so many impressions but it's still chaotic.Adachi feeling more and more miserable over the…
Adachi doesn't abuse the use of his magic but it still gives him a sense of security, something he can rely on when the situation seems impossible to solve (in the amusement park he agonised over not knowing what Kurosawa was thinking and resorted to the mind reading). He's aware of how it gives him an advantage and even tho it was accidental most of the time, he still benefitted from it. By losing the magic, he probably believes he will also lose all the good things that came from it because he's so insecure he doesn't believe he can make any of it happen out of his own strength and just by being himself.

I like this analysis and especially your optimism in the end. We hit rock bottom, now we can only go up.

You gotta understand Adachi's moral dilemma here. He's quite aware using his ability for his advantage is wrong.…
Exactly, he's torn between his fear of losing it (he firmly believes everything good that has happened to him was triggered by the magic and without it he'd revert back to his bleak lonely life) and his guilt about keeping it and using it to his advantage at the expense of others. The moment he realizes his own worth and starts believing in himself, he will break free from this.
