We obviously can't tell what was going on exactly and why Adachi was running but the narration is clearly from future Adachi reflecting on his journey and growth up to that moment, how he didn't think he was capable of such magic then the camera brings us back to present Adachi, a day before his birthday, so we can see how it all started. We'll probably come full circle and go back to that scene of Adachi going up the slope on his bike.

It came at the right moment during these trying times. It's become my emotional support show and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been in a constant good mood since I started it, like nothing can hurt me anymore lol

This drama makes me giddy and ridiculously happy, I feel like I'm 15 again lol

idk, it's really not that old but I guess it feels so for people who are much younger

Oh I wasn't talking about episode 8 but episode 6, where he secretly went to his work and then spied on him while he danced. I didn't like it but it was a one time thing so i gave it a pass. Also Tsuge seems to be aware it's not a good behavior so I still had hope and sure enough episode 8 confirmed it. I like what they did with him and now I'm rooting for him ^_^

I'm older than Adachi so I can tell you I felt that ossan insult in my bones lol

The man spent 7 years thinking none of this was possible but now it's real and he's beyond happy ;___;

I feel like Kurosawa keeps a diary where he writes down all his Adachi thoughts. I'd pay money to get a look at it lol

I love Kurodachi to no end but Tsuge's last appearance as the stalkerish old man left me with a bad aftertaste and if I ever don't give CM a full mark it will be because of him so bringing back the focus on him to ~redeem~his character and flesh him out is totally welcome imo. The talk about dreams and goals was a nice surprise too, it gives us a glimpse at who Tsuge is as a person so even if he's not the main character, he still feels real with depth.

Same here! I'm grinning like an idiot behind my mask or else my colleagues might think I'm crazy lol but idc idc idc I am so happy and I doubt this effect will ever go away
