Not sure, the Double cleared the censors and there have been some short dramas with similar genre and tropes that seemed to be cleared to air/stream so not quite sure what is happening. There may be a relax of some rules since it was kinda of unspoken afterall.

Totally get it. So far ... no matter the raving, the Double and the princess royal and the legend of heroes.. none of the CPs have a hold.. they are watchable but I don't really relish in their CP or their relationship! hahahha its just not SL and XZ/XY. hahhaha :) I so want them to make another drama! ARGH!

I think there is more to it. The emperor and empresses are not what they seem also... they did guard the borders for a long time and maybe the emperor is the one making use of them. Its a bit early to know but it does seem like they are made out to be the "baddies" for the moment.

haha, I am not sure how these novels came to be incredibly popular. Just like Xian Xia novels is another genre. And C dramas, they just source for material from novels/manga/anime or K/J dramas. Their censorship issues also means a lot of original ideas may not be allowed so everyone just treads on grounds done before to ensure the drama will be aired. Hence we have the result we have. That is why the CP/ leads, cast and production will become important.

And once someone has changed something - Legend of Shen Li (super happy ending) with great feedback, you will then see many dramas from hence will follow or even refilm the end (example the Double (insert new extra ending).

Totally understand babe. Then pass on the Double. Try watching the princess royal. I found it doesnt take away anything from Shen Li, genre is totally different but its decently interesting.

Dont worry about the ratings and yes, I am sad it rated higher for the Double (i never understood why shen li's didnt rise to a 9 at least!) But you know what they even had the same XZ house in the princess royal. So you can try it out and so far, by episode 3, they cleared up somethings in their past already.

And babe... SL and XY's chemistry is not so easily replicated by anyone hence it is so precious! They are on a planet of their own for CP power, remember they ranked so far away of ANY other CP couples in so many dramas... hahahah...

Hahaha she kinda of loved them both in her previous life. They must both be worthy. She isn't a dumb princess. They got very good actors for both. It's coming off very nicely.

Isn't it great. Right off the bat everyone is so sus already. Our poor princess and crown prince and we ain't even counting the other siblings or other people in the court.

Actually I think its because they all come from the very favoured genre of novels called "CHONG SHENG" 重生. Which is rebirth where the leads (usually FL) of the novels redo their lives because they made bad choices in their previous ones and ended up in a lot of grievance and so they move the heavens and get a chance to redo it again. This genre either has them reborn/go back again at a certain age/before certain things happen or have them reborn in someone else's body to retake up the grievance or come back for revenge.

If they made more dramas from this genre, they will have very similar plots or tropes just different scenarios or injustices so the acting/chemistry, directing and production quality will come into play.

Yeah my its doing good....its pacing good... enjoying the crown prince's politics as well... and as usual... its the every present and we can do without emperor... ROLL eyes!

Dont give up. Sometimes some comments are just .. eh.. and most of us are nice. Some pages are more .. hmm.. then others.. and some dramas are like that... I watched a lot of kdrama but never really comment much because of fans that tend to read too much or feel too much about a comment or the actors/actresses. Stay awhile and see and engage with the saner ones :)
