According to the novel (if i remember correctly, they had 2 kids or was it 1, but they definitely had kids) and they keep arguing with each other about getting a divorce but never succeeding. Each time they fight, they bring it up and then there is some excuse not to so they never get round to divorcing each other.
Seems to be heavy on politics and I liked they cleared up the past early and we dont spend an eon dwelling in the past and so far following the novel... not bad for a start :)
I really like to watch this one because this might heal my broken heart from PA, comments and reviews are over…
The CGI in this one is really well placed. Just give it a try :) You might just enjoy it. Its fight scenes are also a very good mix of "real" action and CGI. Quite different from Xian Xia.. a bit more like Wu Xia :)
I will take some points of from the drama, the last episodes were little dry. They lacked the luster and strength…
Same feeling I had.. didnt really like the adaption from the novel and the changes, didnt add to it but was meah instead. But maybe its due to editing so cannot be sure but the effect was not as nice as it should or could have been like the novel.
Actually I prefer the ending in the novel for both of them and the Li family... this one.. was for dramatic effect which I can understand for the drama... but somehow as a revenge piece.. i didn't feel avenged hahha. But thats also on the writer and producer not the actors who all did excellent jobs :)
Hi dear, there is no should be, its just different from the novel really. If I remember the novel correctly, the ending arc was Wanning losing her "child" and going after the Li family and then both SYR and her colluded with Prince Cheng and then lost in the fight and ended up beheaded.
Prince Cheng had a huge fight with XH in the end battle and XH ended up missing from her life for one year ... And I think he married after he comes back to her life.
Whilst the drama has them married and then her waiting for him to return which is a bit different. It was a very very brave thing for her to do. And she told the emperor that even if he died, she will remain unmarried for him in the novel.
He then comes back, they marry and have a great life together with a child grows up to be a bit cheeky! There is also a story about her brother and Jiuyue.
No, my guess is they filmed the end at Episode 40 and then subsequently that extra one. If you see the extra episode, its not the same "flow" or something different about it.
The novel's extra bits with XH is different as well. He bought her food, they dreamt about his childhood. And XH's daughter at an older age and being mischievous... XZ and Jiuyue's storyline. A lot of things they could have used but no... its some reference to Ye Shi Jie's issue. :( Very campy....
And the ending for SYR, Waning and Prince Cheng were all changed also... not sure why, the novel's ending was more satisfying.... here we were encouraged to "pity" Wanning and SYR I think.... not sure about the reason for the change.
They didnt follow the novel for the ending arc....... still good. I wonder if the episode for the ending would have been left open. They probably filmed it as an afterthought.. good they did though :)
because of her fan spamming other actresses' profiles. instead of seeing her good works, i knew of her issues…
Thats a pity because her fans dont usually do such nonsense but there is an antifan with various accounts/nicks (yes much more than 1 and the nicks are here in this page as well) that is causing all kinds of spam/incorrect information claiming all kinds of nonsense in MDL, particularly in relation to her being so powerfully connected etc. If she was, why bother to be an actress. Sorry to hear that it disturbed you.
