She seems to have her bias and she pans a lot of things (like Shen Li - which I enjoyed) and some others as well. So well... we just watch and enjoy what we can.

I think CPP has just lived and been around the emperor longer.. so he knew where the red lines are.

I know exactly what you mean, She was really really very strong in Love like Galaxy.... somehow its a bit stiff here like you said. hehe but still a good showing i feel too.. Its probably because everyone's acting was so on pointe in this drama that we can still feel the difference.. And yesh. quite a few people have commented (mostly on weibo and C side) that she appears to be the "weakest link" for the acting side... otherwise everyone did a brilliant job in their roles. She and "Mofang" got the most "flak" for their acting.

Douban has been very manipulated lately.. so many antis that down vote just to bring dramas or actress/actors they dont like down. Its no longer very accurate to be a good barometer of whats a good drama of a particular genre. The legend of Shen Li had lots of downvotes... so did Harbin as well as different dramas... So it depends on the legions of fans vs antis vs actual fans that vote and even then sometimes the score is just "off"

Yes... they are soo very very good as foils and the acting is so good. It comes off very balanced not one overpowering over the other.. and yet still retaining the quirks of their characters!
