Totally agree.. Nirvana in Fire the first and novel was one heck of a drama and novel.

yes TLOSL the acting and production carried it. Story wise its very simple. But sometimes in a complicated world, we just want simple straight forward things that vibe positively! :)

Well done babe!! Yeah the book was decent and the drama .. just made it alive. One of the few that was really well done and I dont have to either watch the drama or read the novel to be fulfilled. The other one that was that good for me was Nirvana in fire the book and the drama both were soo good as well. Then its Shen Li.

They changed a lot from the anime/manhua so I think we should just watch it as a standalone.

I am not sure it's because of that but maybe they adjusted the story somehow and we shall see how it fits. But I am with you about the importance of that aspect. But maybe they have other plans.

Exactly on pointe, But I wonder if its because they changed the story from the anime. In the anime, the tree was supposedly used to help the immortals and humans continue their love beyond one lifetime because mortals have a shorter lifespan and so it was asking the tree to help extend that love (the mortal will forget but the immortal will then try to get them to fall in love in the next life again) so the stories were a lot about waiting or failing to get love again or reuniting. But they changed the tree to become like a love for the immortal couples only. So I am wondering how it will play out.

It looks good.... but I am not vibing it and I am not rooting for any couple at all.
