yeah episode 10 was very neatly set up by episode 9. And the 2nd prince.... I am pondering about him. Can anyone who has read the novel explain so is he the "baddie"? Or can we say they all are because they all want the throne?

I think its the story of rose.. He plays one of the male leads. He marries the character I think he plays a successful entrepreneur, there are kiss scenes and they broke up in the drama. I think this one challenges his acting a fair bit.

I don't think there are "haters" per se so far.. you should see some of the other drama pages.... maybe some comparisons with Season 1 but you know a lot of people do that. I never understood why K and C drama lands always likes to compare between dramas, between seasons and actors and actresses. I mean we can just support the drama and enjoy it. Sigh. But in any case I think there is enough in JOL2 to make sure its a decent showing... but we will know better once the show moves on a bit further I think. And surely no one thinks Ruo Yun isn't doing a fantastic job as FX!

I think the ratings will move in time when more watch it when its available and actually rate it.

Yes I believe many are watching but not rating it as yet. I havent myself.. I am enjoying it but will wait a bit before rating.

Yes have to agree.. so far I am really liking it. I also liked the wardrobe in the Legend of Shen Li a lot but I have to say this season and season 1 both had good ones for Joy of Life. Especially the court and senior people attires.. not too fancy nor too "dated"... just nicely done! and Yeah Fan Xian has perfect hair... like EVERYTIME ahahhahaha

I think the make up is supposed to be reflective of her as a phoenix. I would say try to watch till episode 9 and then if you still don't like it pass it up. But it's a drama that gets better mid to end for some people. Some of us like it from the start.

Yeah its very very good... both actors did so very well... and the dramatisation was good too. Looking for more yan to support Fan xian :)

Actually the leads were always into each other from start to end as well.. so no angst in that regard and yes super happy ending

It was a great role! Amazing performance... not sure if she will win because there is strong competition but nonetheless its great to be nominated!
