Oh apparently the author also followed the series and she said she was so amazed by the leads and the effect. She also cried in the last few episodes! :) I am so glad the original writer was happy too. One of the few dramas where the novel fans and drama fans are all happy with the drama's presentation. Possibly due to the team of Liying (producer) and Deng ke the director!

How far have you watched my dear? They do explain a bit about the Gods (including why they are not allowed to "love") later in the drama. And yes it doesnt matter that he is the only god left (that matters for the other issues involving the baddies later) because other gods were also not allowed when there was more than XZ as a god.

Yes I watched it in ten miles and then i followed it, I liked Di Jun a lot but weiguang is a bit "wooden" especially when compared to XZ, but he is the typical Ancient powerful god like in most Xian Xia. XZ is a totally cool and different one. Its ok if you don't enjoy it. I actually liked their story better than the main one in ten miles.. I watched ten miles for the male lead Mark only!

If you watch ten miles you can also try eternal dream of love (this was a development from the side story in Ten Miles)

Oh babe how similar to my list.. but i also love the scene where he is treating her wounds also and there is the phoenix feathers. Oh then maybe wait for some others to suggest (I liked Boss and Me - Liying's drama too, also an old show)

Is it only xian xia you are interested in? There are some good Liying films (story of Ming lan - yes its long but it was one of the all time on charts, The legend of Lu Zhen. Journey of the Flower) and my all time favourite Nirvana in Fire (older show) but very very good if you can get past the olden language. Its political and a revenge piece. No romance.

Joy of Life is a fan favourite like Nirvana in Fire and season 2 will be out soon too :)

Agree. Its my all time favourite too and Hu ge was very very good.. But he is usually good hahahha in any drama!

Join us join us, whats your fav arc/scene or moment?

Basically it has some fight scenes (very good CGI), an initial arc about the leads in the mortal realm where one is a phoenix for some of the time and the other is a human. They re- meet again in the spirtual realm. One not so bad baddie. Leads that are into each other from start to end and a super happy ending. Lots of comedic moments with banter. No 3rd parties, no misunderstanding and complicated relationships. All the side arcs add to the plot.

Some people find it a bit "slow" at the start but it sets the story straight. OST is fantastic and the production too. And almost everyone acting does a good job.

I am not a fan of xian xia either... i barely put myself through some others but I really enjoyed it. So I would say try it out until at least episode 8 or 9 and see if you can continue :) And its ok if you don't enjoy it. Everyone has different taste :)

hahahahhaah she is so dang funny at times! I watched her in Article 20 and OMG ... the amount of crying I did...... She was soo soo soo good! But it was such a difficult film to watch... real life is such a tough thing in many places.
