I think it depends. I rewatched various episodes whilst waiting for the new ones to drop and then now I am rewatching the entire series again. I think you pick up on the reasons and nuances that you did not notice because you now know what is the plot and what is going to happen. Like why the first chimei said what he said after Shen Li defeated it. And why XZ behaved the way he did, I mean initially he was so bored stiff after living so long and having had a boring life. He suddenly met this interesting talking bird/phoenix so he was highly amused and wanted to tease it so much.

Yes I totally dug the looks... no out of place or too many dangly bits on the actresses... and top heavy weird hairdos... I also wonder why XZ didnt stay with his white hair for a tad longer... it was sooooooooo nice!

Yes I made a passing comment on an actress being ok but I didn't like her acting and boy was it was a mistake..... and it was not even on the chinese sites... but facebook... ROLL eyes..... one reason I cannot deal with kpop..... too many scary fans!

Thats the thing I don't get, you can not like it, then just don't watch it but why bring stuff down... ARGH... and its like tit for tat cos different fan bases do it... sigh.... Ok if you guys say its good then I shall be ok with it! Just hope it rates a bit higher with everyone's help. In any case, people who enjoy it will just really enjoy it.

I know right..... that's one big reason I don't particularly like this genre but this one is the total exception. I was only attracted by the phoenix/chicken... hahhah and then the rest is history

Agree if one doesn't like either one of them, I think the drama wont work for them. The main emphasis is on their relationship and development. No complicated sideplots. I have read a lot of other reviews that pan the drama for various reasons also.. especially at C entertainment side.

So adorable them two and so open with fan service. Sigh torn between friends forever and them actually being together! Hahaa but at least my XZ and SL will be happy together forever!!

Yes their chemistry in this one is superb.

A lot of new dramas coming up. It probably will not hold out too long, it is a short drama comparatively. Just glad it did well. And some of the fans of Yang Zi and Yang Mi are all out to ensure their new dramas do well too...
