Yeah that I can understand. I think it was negligence to have the cold behaviour on top of the contract. Who would think you can ask for something that is prohibited in the contract especially with someone who doesn't seem to care. I think that is my main issue. I get the his intention and thought process. But I find it hard to believe that he didn't think he would create a situation that seems inescapable for someone else. He thinks she could just ask for a divorce. She has written documentation that she can't. For me that is a massive oversight.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I totally forgot about the arranged marriage. Maybe I am the problem because I don't see those things as a legitimate reason followed by those actions. I mean unless the contract was drafted by his parents and forced him to have HHJ sign it, she couldn't get out of the marriage even if she wanted to. It's crazy how comparable this marriage is to imprisonment but even prisoners have a sentence with the amount of time they have to serve. Here only he knew the marriage would end but she didn't. I don't know I can see his intention and it might be a noble one but for me personally intentions and actions don't really match.
Can someone give me a different angle? Because I am struggling to understand SE's reasoning to marry HJ. See below
I get that partially he needed the influence of her family when her sister took off he went to her. I also get that he saw her as a prisoner of her own family and wanted to "free" her from that hold or at least get her out of there. And you made your peace with the fact that she would want to leave you or maybe you were even trying to provoke her urge to leave
However...
The marriage contract imprisoned her. She couldn't ask for a divorce or sue for it. Also with your family you added more prison wards. And your behaviour didn't create a safe space if that's what you wanted to provide.
Am I missing something? Is this just another case of major miscommunication?
I don't mind when dramas don't take themselves too seriously and are just a fun watch. But I don't know if this one achieved that or was even trying to. Tonally this is all over the place. From leaning into the ridiculousness to trying to be something gritty with real stakes and consequences.
For me personally what really dragged it down a whole lot are the plotholes. Some things are never explained and some are explained with the most outlandish reasoning. And don't get me started on the Lord of the Rings of it all.
All in all this could have been so much better and it's surprising that the rating (as I am typing this it's 8.8) seems inflated and not reflective of the product.
Those part distributions are so off. Why would you create parts that are half the song and others that are basically 2-3 lines and then be surprised that some people disappear in the group. The math ain't matching. Y'all did that on purpose
He stated he used his own money to get the film degree which is worse
I know. However I guess his accommodation and living expenses were paid by the company. One could say he spent his little free time on pursuing a second degree which in of it self is wild
OH HELL NO!!! You fire your adoptive son because he was was able to obtain a second degree while studying under the companies dime and thinking about giving HIS position to you biological son who you didn't know existed until a couple of weeks/months ago??? That's fucked up
Ik felt so bad for the dad when he said his dad is such a real one for willing to raise it thoe. Was it really…
apparently there is a chinese remake which is almost identical...maybe I'll try that one. It's been too long for me to keep on watching but I was too far in to start again. That would be the fresh start without being fresh yk😁
double triple and hundruple down with the sister makes the bio mother of FL into such a moron...everybody in that family hates her and you still side with that thing? What an imbecile
Honestly the whole spiel of not taking the money because it would shock the grandparents must be the dumbest thing this drama tried to sell as a legitimate reason
I would prefer if the Team captains would distribute the yellow card. Audiences are mostly going for face value. They don't consider development or potential. Also the Captains would put into account the mistakes that were made on the stage. I feel like the audience gives out pretty privileges like "well they made a mistake but I still gonna vote because they are handsome"
PLEASE SPOIL THIS DRAMA FOR MEONLY THEN I CAN KNOW IF ITS WORTH WATCHING.I just saw a clip that SFL was engaged…
If I remember correctly SFL's target for revenge is FL. Both of them went to college together and she felt like FL had everything handed to her and was never struggling.
SFL and SML were a couple in the past but SFL left him because he was very poor. Afterwards he became successful and now she wants him back too. Which is amplified by the fact that SML acts caring towards FL (although he did some really harmful things to her at the beginning of the show) and SFL just doesn't want FL to be happy or succeed.
And she also knows about FL's and ML's former relationship maybe that is why ML gets dragged into this but as far as I remember he is not her main target. It's very much a case of "if you are happy I am not happy"

but for me "Prison" sounds like a Melodifestivalen (Sweden's ESC national selection) Runner-Up for the Eurovision Song Contest
