he begins suspecting as early as episode 6, like seeing her at the ball and her packed clothing and all that, and he admits to knowing her secret in ep14. he says "i've known it for a long time" but the truth is it was more like he gradually started suspecting her

i dont think seok ryus dad is actually having an affair (ep 6 trailer) cause theres no way right??? theyve only hinted at seunghyo's dad being fishy so i think its a misundestanding, itd be heartbreaking if it was true

i havent gotten to this scene so idk how well they pair tgt but i think its totally valid to like/dislike a pairing bc of vibes. sometimes i try to like a drama with good script and acting, but something feels "off" about the couple pairing. not like its unbearable to watch, but something doesnt click and its hard to immerse me into the story

he was sure of his feelings when he was 18, and he only denied it in the bc 10-20 years had past since the letter incident. rekindling their connection after that time has allowed him to realize that he still likes her, however, it would be crazy of him to confess when she has so much emotional baggage (and has only come back to korea for a short while). if you see "childhood connection" in the tags, then most likely at least one side of the relationship has hidden feelings. that's how the romance plot grows. it's not called "being a simp" because many people keep their crushes secret for a while, perhaps even till the day they die. when you say "guy who has past story", do you mean relationship? or do you mean trauma? if you're complaining about the lack of girl chasing guy dramas, it's understandable. you'll notice the fans will typically simp over the ML rather than the FL because they see this character as their "ideal type". screenwriters know these types of scripts sell well to this fanbase, so i can agree that there's an imbalance. i'm just confused why having a secret crush is considered loser simping 🫠

a mix of both kinda like dr slump, FL and ML heal through trauma/bad experiences by supporting each other with romance and comedy sprinkled on top

this happens a lot in dramas *and* in real life... if he was rejected, their entire friendship would become hella awkward and would go down the drain in a blink. theyre naturally close and share everything w each other, so there was no way for him to be sure about her feelings. he depended on her when his parents were absent, so he wasnt willing to take that risk. some people are more conservative with their feelings and thats ok. simp i agree, but loser is a bit of a stretch 😭also because seokryu was cheated on, it makes sense that she doesnt want to go back to him, but that doesnt mean her feelings disappear instantly. after all they even reached the point of engagement, which mustve taken several years. its totally valid to hate the "secret crush" trope, these are just my two cents 👍

the whole chris thing is very real sadly, one of my friends was praised greatly at her internship for her diligence so she thought they were evaluating her performance, but it turns out her mentors were piling extra work on her because it made their lives easier. sad that a lot of douchebags get away with slacking off and blaming others

i saw in the preview that she began to notice him as a genuinely considerate guy instead of just a random number-asker. slowburn he fell first but she fell harder? i dont see the appeal but maybe my mind will be changed by later episodes 👍🫠
