totally agree, i think ZZ was quite important in the plot. most watchers stand with XW because he's the ML, and we understand his past --- his reasons for scheming in the court to take down duke xue. but what if he was actually loyal to lord pingnan or just a shady figure? ZZ acted as a righteous official would and chose not to immediately trust someone because of their status. this is dramatic irony since the audience knows XW's attention but ZZ doesn't, so obviously he will hold his guard up.

out of all the future dramas rumored for bailu i hope this one gets pciked up after chasign the moon
