omgosh, I hate this whole thing. Both main actors are incredible in their roles. Have decent chemistry and the plot is not boring at all. Of course that angst or the misunderstanding trope is not everyone’s favorite. But despite these two things, I find no fault in this drama. I also don’t trust MDL or Douban’s ratings anymore, as a lot of them are impartial and based on the fans moods.

Actually, the misunderstanding isn’t truly resolved. She still doesn’t know a lot of things.

oh yes. I just watched episode 14 so I’m up to date, so I can understand the rating better now. the misunderstandings are pushed to extreme levels. the writers are a bit… Still, I quite enjoy it. There’s no boring episode yet for me.

Why did the rating get so low? I’m on episode 9 and I’m enjoying this so far. It’s not a masterpiece, but I didn’t expect it to be.

I agree with everything you said. All these things frustrate me so much. I’m still gonna watch though. I only hope the producers saw the viewers critique from last season and they will change their approach. I hate to see another girl the center of attention and getting 50% of the screentime like she’s some perfect goddess.. Seriously 😒

Watched the first episode and found it a bit slow. Is it because they are still building the story? Is it getting better? I really wanna love this cause I’m a huge fan of Liu Yuning after TPOB and ADWAD.

exactly!! they have such good genes in China that even some 30 year old look like they’re in their early 20. So, they shouldn’t have any problems with casting someone older. I hope people won’t watch and they lose money with this drama so it doesn’t become a habit to cast minors like this. But I doubt it .. :(
