shes 17?? does china have protection laws for minors in the workspace especially since she is the LEAD in a ROMANCE? this is with no ill intent btw. obviously shes gorgeous and talented to be casted in such a big role but i hope that they arent exploiting a minor
Going by your comment, I can tell you didn't even start this drama.
i feel like OP is trying to say the 'fake-siblings' or family members trope is a recurring theme in a lot of dramas. in all the dramas there are clear boundaries and separations set to make is less weird but still, people have the right to feel uncomfortable. off the top of my head dramas that kind of use this trope are go ahead, speed and love, dazzling, neverending summer, love for you. for me, speed and love was the only one that was too weird for me. in fact, in the case of go ahead i think the trope is quite wholesome and i think it was well done in the Korean remake too
yeah so compare that photo to the offical IQYI poster and youll see that the woman in this photo looks nothing like Xu Ruohan. This is obviously modified.
went in completely blind. didnt watch a single trailer/teaser or read the synopsis.at first i thought this would be a story about the grandson. i was pleasantly surprised when the story changed and was mostly showing the past events. did not excpect to try soo much. the actress who played Nan Zhi waas just so phenonemal. who would've thought that Nan Zhi would end up being the main character in the story?
How bad is the misunderstanding? I don't want to be discouraged by my worst tag ever ?
theres a few.. most of them cleared up but the biggest one was lwk never cleared up and they both just accepted their own versions of the story and moved on
To any international watchers - here's some explanation of '6'
Zhou Wan changes Lu XiXiao's name to '6' in her contacts. 6 in Chinese is 'ε (liΓΉ)', which sounds similar in pronunciation and tone to the 'Lu' in LXX's name. This is briefly explained in episode 29.
6 also sounds like 'ζ΅ (liΓΊ)' which means 'to flow' and 'smooth' which symbolises a 'smooth', happy and peaceful life. This is a recurring theme where ZW wishes LXX to have a happy and peaceful life.
This is also why they named their puppy 'Xiaoliu'. 'Xiao' means 'little' or 'junior' but it's commonly used as a form of endearment and made into a nickname. When ZW named the puppy it was also symbolic for the dog being Liu Junior, or in other words, LXX's child. In earlier episodes, LXX says that the only way he can live a happy and peaceful life is if ZW is there. I interpret ZW naming Xiaoliu and leaving him with LXX as a blessing for a happy and peaceful life in ZW's absence.
In Episode 26, ZW calls LXX 'Xiaoliu', and no, she was not calling out for their dog!
I noticed this and thought it would be nice to share.
Such a wonderful drama with lovable characters. The ml and fl were brilliant. Chemistry wise as well acting. Just…
big on that they couldve teamed up. i totally get it for plot sake but i feel like he still deserved to know why she did what she did at some point, even if it was after the 10 yr time skip. im coming to the end of the drama and still feel like shes not been completely honest with him about their circumstances.
This drama made me realise that I actually love when dramas stab me in the heart with their traumatic and heart-wrenching…
same here... unfortunately, i dont want most people's chill, no-drama 'comfort shows; because the only way to keep me engaged is a cute couple with the most heartbreaking backstory.
right! they made her stylish without having her wear clothes that you know she cant afford while also not putting her in trashy outfits. i love how she mixed and matched outfits too. really adds realism to the show
