I didn't really like this drama because it opened up too many subplots and left them all hanging without explanation until the end. It felt like the producers were being too ambitious to make an intricate plot but didn't execute it well enough for it to deserve an 8.8 or above. I know the subplots are supposed to be build-ups towards a major resolution, but there were way too many puzzle pieces for the audience to remember them. I basically forgot like half of what I was shown throughout the drama because there were details that were only mentioned once or twice and I couldn't see how they were connected. Moreover, the episodes were way too long. I know it's necessary cuz there's a lot of information to tell, but with such complexity going on, it's difficult to maintain full attention for such a long time. Not to mention the amount of details I have to pay attention to.
i semi agree, this reminds me a little of masters sun. I miss when we just got a cute fluffy romantic drama and…
Yes that's exactly what I think! I've been looking for some fluffy romances cuz they don't seem to make it as often these days. I've already watched Because This Is My First Life and I think it's one of the best rom-coms I've watched. I've heard Go Back Couple is good and I will try it. Thx for the recommendations!
There really wasn't much of a plot. I remember waiting a month or two before watching the last 4 or 6 episodes.…
I think I agree with you. If it focused more on the romance I would've liked it more. But it decided to focus on a lackluster plot that I felt was a waste of my time.
I agree with DoYouLikeMessi! Actually, I thought the first few episodes werent /that/ good (I personally disliked…
I guess I'll pick it up when I have time. I do like romances and rom-coms and story isn't always the most important thing for me, however this one seems too slow-paced. I might give it a second chance later. Thx guys!
How no one thought his allergy is caused by some psychological problem is beyond me. It makes it looks like there…
Because there probably has never been any cases of allergy that were caused by psychological factors, so the doctors ruled out the possibility. Doctors treat illnesses only according to the most probable diagnosis.
Unexpectedly this drama became my favorite drama in 2017. The characters had depth, the challenges were realistic, the story had deep messages that were presented in the best way possible, and the lines were poetic and philosophical like literature.
Does anyone else have a hard time liking the male lead or is it just me? The way he keeps spending every buck he gets is so off putting and he never helps with anything >.> I don't understand why the female lead is spoiling him so much. She shouldn't let him behave that way. I think the female lead doesn't know how to stand firm when she needs to...
The original Chinese Odyssey/JTTW was about Buddhism and philosophy... I don't think it's a good idea to make it into a romance story cuz that just ruins the original. I do like love stories and I'm also a fan of LSG and OYS, but making JTTW into a romantic-fantasy kdrama is just downright weird and doesn't match with the messages the original was trying to tell.
Moreover, the episodes were way too long. I know it's necessary cuz there's a lot of information to tell, but with such complexity going on, it's difficult to maintain full attention for such a long time. Not to mention the amount of details I have to pay attention to.
Thx for your suggestion!
