Will there be a season 2? I dont mean the especial episodes, but an actual season? I ship them hard and I liked the story line. The only thing missing was a few more kissing and some emotionally intimacy after they became a couple.
Wrong! "Bad Romance" was broadcast in 2016, and "Together with Me" in 2017.
Bad romance was filmed first and that's why I consider it a spin off and side story. It doesn't make sense otherwise. Not just the personalities and backstory are completely different, but Yihwa had already met Cho at the end of TWM.
However TWM and TWM:TNC make a lot of sense and I can see a natural progression between the mean characters, who are now in a long term relationship. I know many people were pissed off because of their actions but I thought it was pretty realistic, a real life situation that many people that love each other struggle with.
I came here after watching TWM and TWM the next chapter because I fell in love with the leads. I thought their relationship was very realistic and very grown up, especially in TWM:TNC because they were shown having real problems that couples in long term relationship face and struggle with often. Bad romance has lower quality both in terms of story-line and production. It's like a spin off, or a side story in a AU. Honestly I rather watch TWM and TWM:TNC again than this. Still, Im glad they made this series since without it, we would not have gotten the other two.
Oh ! What a beautiful scene in the swimming pool in ep. 1 ! Music, colors, etc. Juste in one scene, they can prove…
I just watch TharnType, a bl drama from Thailand, and I thought it was great. In my top 5 bl dramas definitely, maybe tom 3. Actors were great and the chemistry was awesome
i thought they became very famous after this drama, especially Johnny.... Timmy was a singer more than an actor
that's so twisted. It was a beautiful drama from start to finish. You could tell they didn't have much money too produce it but the acting was so superb, that the lack of budget didn't matter. They were both extremely talented... I'm very glad that they are working actively again and that their fan-base hasn't abandoned them
Most gripes about the series are about the repeated "rape and assault" of Gu Hai and the "incestuous relationship".…
I agree with your comment, but they are not half brothers. Their biological parents were (1) divorced (2) dead, so BLY's mom married GH's dad. You can say they are stepbrothers... but there is not blood relationship.
Is this series boy love? Or have they edited so that is only bromance? Ex. The Untamed adaptation is not explicit but it is obviously love between the MLs
https://www.hbogoasia.sg/#series/sr411 (I get this url as I'm in Singapore....)Or, do you have VPN Express? Try…
I have a VPN and I can access the link you put, but I can't subscribe because I can't pay for my subscription using a credit card from Singapure. I won't let pay with my european card. Is there any way to bypass this?
Does somebody know how I can subscribe to hbo go? I downloaded a vpn to access it from Singapore, but then I can't subscribe because I don't have a credit card from Singapore... so I can see the drama is there but I can't watch it. Is there any way to do it?
Bullshit. I love Queer as Folk and most of the relationship there, especially the main couple Justin and Brian are not healthy.
TV is not to show how the world should be or how a couple should relate to each other. We have Dexter that romanticizes a serial killer, Sherlock does the same with a sociopath, Dr House romanticizes an asshole, Hannibal and actual cannibal who eats human meat... Supernatural the most unhealthy siblings relationship ever... of course these behaviors would not be appropriate in real life... but don't watch TV to be educated on how to behave/think/act.
We watch TV because it's entertaining, addicting and because it helps us forget about the real world for a little while. Should my kid (if i ever have one, which I doubt) not watch Cinderella in case she thinks life is about waiting for a fairy godmother/prince to rescue you? No. But the will watch because it's a cool movie, with nice songs and beautiful animation. I hate it when people try to politicize and censure the media.
Yes, I am part of the LGTB community. A minority badly represented, actually. I'm bi/demisexual. We never see demi or asexual people in TV. Well, I understand there is no much interest because most of the drama comes from unhealthy, complicated relationships. Why should they portray only healthy LGTB relationships? In real life you can find all kind of relationships so why should they limit themselves to create a false representation....? No way!
Plus you are judging this series from a western perspective. In most Chinese dramas the female lead or in this case the less aggressive one (i would say the most passive but BLY is not passive) tries to step away or reject the ML when the ML kisses them, even though they want to be kissed. It's not something I particularly like or enjoy but I have lived in china and my Chinese friends have explained why they represent relationship like that. So there is that.
Sure, you just ruined 50% of the most famous and popular TV shows. Let's portray healthy relationships... the ones nobody cares to watch. Goodbye Buffy, Gossip Girl, One tree hill, the vampire diaries, HIMYM, etc etc
well I don't. I read the novel and Luo Yin's POV makes it clear that he wants GH, he likes having sex with him…
I guess that's true. Sadly, it's a pretty common trope in Asian shows. Usually the female character says no when the main lead tries to kiss her and the pushes the boy away but they obviously want to be kissed
the first 10 episodes were really cute, Gu Hai was just showing some anger issues but episode 11 and onwards took…
well I don't. I read the novel and Luo Yin's POV makes it clear that he wants GH, he likes having sex with him and he is falling in love with him... he just can't bring himself to admit it because that would make him gay. There is only one occasion in the book that GH does something against LY's will but the shows ends before that happens... and believe me, LY makes him pay for it.
