Someone said it's a good drama but they kinda fucked up the haochen story for sure, without giving a proper father-son dialogue. cause how could you not do that?!! and the way every delullu idiot walked free gets on my nerves sooo much, especially Lin tao, he was genuinely harassing Qiao Lin. The show is a 9 at best with plot with 0 rewatch value!!
Engage with the show, and any reels/short regarding it and we'll be getting a season 2 maybeee. But low-key a WL and GT focused season 2 with SSY and HY as second leads after they have kids would fare so well!!!
lol they did justice to almost every page on the book regardless of whether it needed that screen time or not haha. I lowkey am just speechless that they chose that method instead of giving poor WL and GT fans some candy. They ignored the extras -- cause there's one more car conversation with GT and WL and another scene with their kid. Big oops. Maybe petition for SWL and GT special? A huge hug of condolence to their fans. (editing feels choppy cause literally follows the book chapter by chapter)
But having said that I also wanna say a huge thank you nongjian team for going out of their way with a small team, against all odds, to find great actors to do this show!!! They seem like amazing people and I'm so impressed by how they're here for each other despite tons of criticism . It wasn't the perfect show but REMEMBER this is a FIRST FOR CHINA. And with a concept so controversial like mpreg, it could've gone so wrong---let's also give some due credit where it's due. Thank you team ABO Desire for breaking a few glass ceilings!
One thing that irks me so much is Haochen being unaware of his identity ---- he deserves to know who his real mom and dad are --- I really hope they live as one family in the end because the grand parents are lowkey being just grandparents as they literally dont share that kind of connection that hao ming shares with him
