I mean it's the authors themselves making this --- they're trying to get every line on the book on the screen

I feel like the main couple is so comfortable to watch now than the earlier episodes for me, they just seem more at ease with each other personally and I love love the secret smiles and HY's "我可以学的" (I can learn it) attitude lol! At this point they're all green fields now hehe .... but in the novel when SSY finds out he preggo he get real real mad..... but from the show it seems like he'll be on board ;) they're genuinely cute rn

Ya'll I get that we're all invested in the second couple but for crying out loud, they really don't have even as much as what we're seeing in the show going on in the books!!! They barely have scenes while the main leads got more plots going on ---- given it's the authors who are producing the show it's doing justice to almost every line in the book. They really cant do much with SWL and Gao Tu right now without messing up the timeline because the only space they can expand their story is with their reunion cause right now Gao Tu is very very mad and is mad sick in the book.

He's apparently a widow and the little kid we saw as his brother is actually his son---this new girly who has a thing for him mayyy be his ex wife's sister

also I'm a personal fan of the scene where they're sitting under the tree ---- it was truly beautiful ---- it kinda really showed how young in terms of maturity the king really is --- made him feel more prince than king--- and in history books it's more often than we realise(lol a lil debatable for most countries) unlike today it's not the wisest and most mature of people who become king---but rather they try and make a wise and mature man out of the chosen one, which our chef is out here trying to do, adding that female wisdom he never had.

But also why tf did we watch 11.75 episodes of Chef tryna prevent all this disaster only for it to happen anyways lol --- kinda predicted it tho sigh it's not like they would let history change that easily
