I need to see this couple in another romance asap! their chemistry is so good - and one thing I love about the ML is that he's so man! like thank God he's not 6'2 in skin and bones because being over 60kg is overweight - Jing Bo Ran looks so healthy and so man and I wish that upon him in real life and every other Male Lead in Cdrama land including my beloved Zhang Ling He, Lin yi, Liu Yu Ning, He Ye everyone

a lot of reasons, quite intense in the novel
No nothing like that, It was mostly financial pressure from his family and feeling burdened all his life (which alot of men from rural areas face) coupled with the corporate stress that led to depression - he was honestly the kindest soul who always wore a smile on his face while he was battling for his life

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
a lot of reasons, quite intense in the novel
His friends actually became her clients - because her agency was not doing so great because it's set during covid - and then he enters the picture - he and the dog had more emotions going on then the two of them tbh lol

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
a lot of reasons, quite intense in the novel
So by the time they reach their 6th year they have a few fights where he gets jealous over her male roommate and then close to the big breakup she is sexually harassed by a client (and then she never tells him about it because she never truly relied on him and he realises how much he cares about her when that blows up) -- she blows the whistle on this client and during the same time something super heartbreaking happens, which is her male roommate jumps off a building and commits suicide in front of her and her roommate - this really destroys them both completely and brings them towards an epiphany of sorts (In the book, he is an even more important person than he seems to be in the show tbh. ) -- they realise how meaningless everything they chased for in the big city Beijing in their corporate lives truly seemed. She gets to see their bucket list and realises some dreams there will never come true.

During this time, there's a promotion she's up for she doesn't get as well and she also feels like Luan Nian never truly saw her for her worth in their personal and professional lives. She decides to resign and disappear as she sees no way to cope with her grief that the life she had was no more ( roommate's death was the turning point post which everyones lives goes in different directions cause their apartment is no more) -- so she goes back to Harbin her hometown with her depressed dog Luke(and the books Sun YuanZhu leaves for her - which is something they dont show in the show but he gives her a lot to read) and decides to build an AD consulting agency and tries to grow it with her savings. She cuts everyone off during this time including Luke - he has no way to reach her unless he chases her to Harbin which I was so mad he never did. But then they run into each other coincidentally kinda and obv the lazy ass finally tries to win her back and they sorta get back together

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
a lot of reasons, quite intense in the novel
okay so short spoiler is within the 6 years they're together they have tiny one off break ups and then he manages to charm/swoon/ bully her back in pretty quick -- her resolve during these times aren't strong enough for them to be apart for a Long time either so they get back together pretty fast - however after a particular incident in their 6th year she leaves him for good and then they stay apart for a few years and get back together (after 4 years kinda) click the next one if you want major spoilers on why they break up

It is kinda annoying that all the sass and screaming in the novel and bitchiness is toned down here --- and oh boy I'm so sad they didn't get Luke the Dog
