yeah but i like that it was like a salvation for frontman . the whole msg was to show humanity and compassion , and this is why i find deaths of every major characters apt in own unique way.
just watched the variety interview and director said that he initially wanted to end the series right at s1 but the fact it got 3 seasons is an amusement itself which is enough to tell that netflix definitely cashed out on this resulting in a ending that became conflicted.

i believe the reason gi hun took himself out bcs even if he won the guilt would override him and sooner or later he would still have suicided , man was half dead after winning s1 , thinking in his pov i dont think he could ever continue living a life like that.
came back here again just to reflect what a simple man gwan sik was. it was as if he was just the other half of ae sun in a different body like soul and skin which is needed to be together all the time, often some of us dedicate our life to our parents , to work for them and see a smile , this man did it for his betrothed , his beloved , his love of life , aesun<3 throughout the show i can visibly see the strength he gathered from her to fight every thorns of his life , they often remind me of asymptotes but with a catch that they actually meet , with the conditions it was like impossible for them to be together but one's determination and willingness shall never be underestimated , if he wanted he could have actually created a bridge in jeju sea if only his girl had asked. poetically it almost feels like they moved the heaven itself just to bring their destiny together , what a beautiful story , this one feels so personal , so close ....so home!
