YES! and one thing i am most appreciating is the color grading is top notch , even the hues of fl's cheeks is well done not just blush smeared all over , actual rush of blood

man what the frick was this direction? did they record this on a mobile camera? i can literally see when scene gets cut and next scene is added , who the hell produced this drama? the makeup is literally a separate personality from the actors , worst dubbing and the cgi?? holy shit when the butterflies came in, fl cant even look at it properly in its direction maybe because during actual shooting there is no prop there lol , i like bao shang en and for her only i continued through this absurdity, there is barely any chemistry either. straight 3/10

nah im sorry but the ml is a big pos and fl is sacrifical lamb. earlier i called her yearner but i feel now that yearner title is too easy and ill-fitted, there is a difference in loving someone who is career oriented and someone who ONLY sees career/money . im not asking him to drop his career for the girl but you can not be an ah about it , being an empath is not that hard. the uni banters arent even where im being ticked off , thats expected and normal given his past but from that jail scene onwards , yeah ,dropped the ball.

though enemies to lovers is my fav genre but this drama is boring me out , ep15 reached already...the acting isnt impressive either

review: i liked it , although i was pulled in by the hype of this show being a rare piece among all , something very majestic , never seen before type of show with which i didnt resonate with . didnt seem groundbreaking in grand schemes of things... the story is predictable tbh , but the direction and execution is great , for me , the female lead's acting made more impression on me that male lead , in middle it got boring for me but both female leads made me continue it , its sweet , kind of nostalgic with the color grading ngl , and steamy romance , i liked it. 8.5/10.

unpopular take maybe but this is one instance where its crystal clear that fl loves ml thousand times more , and hear me out i watched it first in 2023 and then over the years several times and my claim remains the same , zhuyun loved him more , way more than he ever did . the ml does get that change over the time gradually but the conclusion remains the same.
