i honestly couldnt buy the romance most of the time in TFF bc yifan was never expressive but it was understandable given her trauma and experiences.
i agree NES just kinda side tracked everything else, they never explored heavier topics even though there were so many aspects they could've touched. but maybe its just me, i found the breakup reason quite believable. the grandpa highk emotionally manipulated her and she'd always believed she was a burden to everyone so her leaving luxixiao bc of that was convincing to me. maybe it just depends on perspectives

yep her behaviour was a result of the constant abuse from her parents, and we’re seeing her grow out of it and also grow as a person. same with the ML, his choices in the first few episodes didn’t sit right w me but he got so much better after that. he explained his side & COMMUNICATED w the fl!!!1!!1 he has been super sweet and i love him so far
