The ratings made by those who have dropped the show have decreased to make up for the higher ratings that currently watching raters have given the show, essentially nullifying the better ratings. Actually I don't think so. The timing is pretty logical. For a second, it seemed like we might not get bromance at all but I would say ep9 was pretty bromance-y. Their friendship is cute!
