Omgad! I'm watching that one right now. It's hilarious and I am blushing hard! Definitely better than their first…
I watch it on a paid app FlickReels. They let you watch a couple eps for free and then you have to pay for subscription. I say this drama is worth the subscription. It was really good! The subs and quality are great. It's just the names won't be in Chinese. The title is called Revenge Reborn: The Redgent's Forbidden Consort.
Male lead was such a red flag and he don't give a d*mn about anyone as he's the one with power. I kind of like his possessiveness, but he eventually learns that this was not the kind of love he wants for his girl. Ugh, and he's so handsome in a general outfit in comparison to his princely attire although I have to admit his prince attire was pretty unique. ML's like a mixture of Wang Hedi and Zhou Jun Wei. Definitely a good rewatch.
LOL, that ending was so abrupt. I liked this drama, but at the same time, I didn’t.Both leads did well here.…
I felt like there was still more scheming left to happen because so many questions were left unanswered. For example, where is the original female lead? (Unless I missed it because of the bad English subs.) And what will eventually happen to Consort Yu Zhaoyi and the Empress? Also, the female lead being from another world was never really explained well.
On a side note, the Empress looked so old that I genuinely thought she was the emperor’s mother instead of his wife 😅 It didn’t hit me until their last scene together, and I was like, “Ohhh…”
Other than that, I did enjoy watching how the emperor gradually comes to love and pamper the female lead. However, if you don’t like emperors with multiple concubines, you probably won’t enjoy this as much. He still carries out his “duties,” and while it seems like he’s slowing down, he doesn’t come across as a one-woman man and the female lead is fully aware of that.
LOL, that ending was so abrupt. I liked this drama, but at the same time, I didn’t.
Both leads did well here. I was actually surprised by how much Zhang Chi has improved. He really plays ambiguous, harsh, and even slightly villainous characters (like in Above the Cloud) much better compared to softer, more docile roles.
Loved it! First time I think that the rating should be at least 8 if not higher for this type of short drama.
I think I might be in the minority where I'm actually glad the sister gets her own redemption and finally realizes who really cared for her and was able to do good at the second chance she got.
😂 That ending was hilarious! All in all, this drama was hilarious throughout. I felt the story sort of slowed down and then jumped really fast when her identity and feelings were revealed.
Btw, Loved ML's character. 😍 The actress for the female lead was lacking in the acting department and at times felt awkward, but she slowly warmed up to her character.
Love the voice actor for Tian Tian! I believe this is the second time I've heard him dubbed Tian Tian.
Ehhh, could have been better. Second half dragged on with ex boyfriend's story, and I had to double check if he wasn't the male lead because it felt like he was. No real romance development between the two main leads especially the FL. Also, I still feel iffy that FL was with the ex for 7 whole years.
Goodness. This drama was OTP ridiculous and silly! The writing was a complete garbage, but somehow it was hilariously addicting. The story had an interesting premise, but the bad writing and bad directing couldn't save this - it was a complete mess.
At first, I was on the FL's side and gave her the benefit of doubt but then later on she just upped another level of crazy denial by the end like whuuuut?...The actor for the ML looked quite arrogant at first but he grows on you. I especially loved his height and long legs lol. I definitely stayed watching this silly drama because of him though. His character was slow and too whip for the FL, but that was also the actor's charm.
