This is the humour I want in kdramas. Not some cringey ass side characters shoved in for so-called comedic purposes. This drama's leads are so cool together!
Great overall. I love these Count of Monte Christo-type plots, and this was fantastic. Just wish that we got more satisfying reveal of ML's identity to everyone. We got nothing for Jingrui, his friend and so on. And would love more time and banter between JingYan and MCS 😠cried a river.
My main problem is that the consorts (princes' mothers) look way too young. They look like they could be their lovers. I checked the actors' age gaps and it's way too small! Even if they became concubines when they were 15ish, it still doesn't look believable at all.
He is pretending to be a normal employee. He got selected through blind hiring and climbed his way up.
I was laughing it off. The car is just too ugly. Besides, the reason they gave him this car is not cause he's a normal employee, it's cause it's product placement. If they got another PPL, they'd just give him another car. Sorry but I just hate the car xD
I wanted to ask about the scene 5 years ago, before 2ML ran to the US - when his boyfriend was beaten. Who hurt him, if the grandpa doesn't know about 2ML being gay? Or was that scene implying something else? I'm not sure I understood correctly
The older three and younger two are half-siblings. Lee Do Han and Lee Ji Han are illegitimate children of grandpa’s…
I guess she didn't marry twice, she just run from home after giving birth to the 3 children? Or perhaps lead 2 lifes? Cause the father of the older kids was said to still be her husband. But it wasn't explained very well. Maybe someone who knows the webtoon will care to explain.
It's nice! Nothing groundbreaking, but nice. The car scene was gold. Shame they don't remember anything. I feel like the drama is kinda laid back? Which is a good thing. Dunno how to explain it. But they are not trying to be overly funny like a lot of other recent dramas, pushing a lot of comedy relief characters etc. The FL also feels pretty natural and realistic.
Soo I wanted to start this, but it's another victim of D+, which will not come out in Europe till next year (Crazy Love style)? No thank you. How can they release their own dramas but keep the ones they only distribute in their dungeon for months in this era, smh.
"he will also reportedly return to the new season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2." - repordedly? Who reported it? Cause I haven't seen no official announcement for the past 2 years. Stop with the misinformation.
SIL deserved some sort of punishment. Even MIL got a little redemption scene, however short, but not that bitchy…
The FIL just wanted to catch her brother, who was trusted with a secret document from the last king, unfavourable to FIL. FIL hoped that the brother will visit his sister, and that ended up happening and the brother was killed.

Imo, they wanted to make her look more mature than him. She has lived through a lot. Imo, if they casted 32 yo actress and 25 yo actor, the age difference wouldn't be visible... And maybe they wanted to cast these specific 2 actors no matter the age - they are just beyond brilliant in their roles. The show seems to be made for Honey Lee. Also, if they made her 40 in Joseon, she would have been a widow for like 25 years, that's beyond believable. And he at 29 would probably be married. Overall, I have no problem with the age gap, but to me, Honey Lee def looks younger than her age.

1. She finds out at the end of ep 11. 2. Yes the FIL is the main villain. 3. She doesn't get revenge on her MIL, but MIL apologizes. Many viewers say this was pretty unsatisfying, but it fits FL's character imo.

1. Father in law is bad, and he was the one who ordered the murder of FL' s brother (yeah he's dead). 2. Her husband is actually alive - he run away from home 15 years ago cause his father didn't approve his marriage with a foreigner. He comes back (without any reason really), and in the end his marriage with FL was nullified (the husband wasn't even at the wedding, and later his death was staged by his father). So in the end FL free. 3. The ML finds out pretty early on, like 3-4 th episode? He suspects it from like ep 2. And she finds out that he knows around ep 6-7 -ish, don't remember exactly.
