praising predatory men for their 'idgaf attitude' is definitely a choice
Pppfffttt, I think I just need to make myself take a break from MDL chats for a while, that’s what (Imma ‘bout to throw hands in the comment section of Deep In, so that’s a sign I need to walk away 😆)
You and I are in agreement more than not. All someone has to do is replace Tin with a female character who is told to “use a louder voice” if she wants to be released, or “prove” she doesn’t love her incessant pursuer who kisses her… of course women watching the show would lose their shit all over a guy who behaved like that toward a woman. So if your comment is really about educating someone, then maybe say something like that (especially since noncon against males is often blown off for the very fact of them being male).
But saying that “praising a predatory man is a choice” is just inflammatory, and I am pretty sure you know that. So yeah, I’m tired of the throw downs that stir the shit for no other purpose than to stir the shit. But that’s on me, because, well, that’s what social media is a lot of the time. And since that’s not going to change, I need to stay away, or do a better job of resisting the urge to comment. I failed on either count with my previous comment, so I’m just gonna excuse myself and go watch again one gorgeous man force himself on another gorgeous man and accept the ways of BL, all while knowing they make a horrible blueprint for everyday life but do an excellent job of showing hot guys doing hot things 🔥 consensually or otherwise.

Please. Please. For the love of all the BL gods… people, don’t watch Asian BLs if you have issues w noncon and dubcon. Just don’t. And apparently cheating in fiction is also highly triggering for a lot of people (see: comments for Deep In). This is just not the genre for you. And that’s ok! If absolutely necessary for you to consume BLs, I recommend ones set in high school, although those are not 100% immune to these stories either. So, yeah, maybe just best to watch G rated content to be safe?
Oh boy, the lead actors can really act and they act so damn well ❤️ it's been a while since I watched a Thai…
I can agree with everyone fawning over Ongsa; he’s beautiful. But Inn’s my guy, through and through. And it’s not only his looks. I think he is an incredible actor as well.
I love how y’all be wanting Danyi and YunTing to get together when YT just weaponized her hurt against someone she supposedly loves. Danyi girl, go find yourself someone emotionally mature and available and leave the drama behind, YT included.
Many have not rated it since its still airing or given a 1/10 based on what they didn't like, so maybe that's…
What?! There are people who think cheating is worse than rape?? WTAF. That’s some puritanical backwards shit. Like, fr. These people would rather someone *rape* them than cheat on them?? Imma need some help comprehending that.
okay so either.. im slowin the brain or wasnt paying attention. i had to rewatch ep 7.. and ill probably rewatch…
Some people might feel like Wu likes ZZ, but I just see him as being protective. The reporters swarmed ZX bc his gf leaked to reporters that they are a couple, to fuck up his situation w ZZ.
Not every drama is meant for every viewer, and that's okay. If red-flag characters or toxic relationships aren't…
Louder 👏 for 👏 the 👏 people 👏 in 👏 the 👏 back
I would also add… fiction plays a very powerful role in helping people to see themselves or others in stories. Someone in an abusive relationship might be too close to their own to recognize what is happening, but when they read or see it in fiction, it can be a lightbulb moment for themselves. Or someone who isn’t in an abusive relationship now but starts to experience one later might recognize what is happening sooner. Also, for those who have read any amount of fan fiction, a lotttttt of people write dark stories to help them process their own trauma.
All this to say a) I don’t see the relationship in this show as abusive, but b) wanted to add these comments to address some people’s concern about irl consequences of fiction. In my experience in social work and education, I see (even dark) fiction bring irl *benefits* all the time.
Nervous about what I read earlier in the comments about the ending (in general, not the specifics):
I’m typically nervous for the conclusion of shows that have been brilliant (why do so many BLs fuck up the last part??) but there have been several comments by readers of the novel that say there’s a big twist at the end that will change how we saw everything, and now I'm terrified that I might hate the ending! 😭 Someone posted the twist in a spoiler that I have made myself resist, but every day I am wracking my brain as to what it could be. I really really REALLY want this show to have a satisfying ending. I might need medical attention if it doesn’t 😩
I wonder if Ping’s acting has improved. His previous outings were… painful 😬 And Ai Long Nhai is actually one of my guilty pleasure BLs, but that’s because Meen carries it for me.
h really? 2 or 3 favorite K BLs... you produced them yourself because they only produce crap
I got your back 😉 Some stunning Korean BLs are The Eighth Sense and To My Star. And some lovelies are Semantic Error, Our Dating Sim and Love for Love’s Sake. The Eighth Sense was one of my first BLs and it took my breath away. I still listen to some of the songs from the OST.
Damn damn damn… pleeeeeease tell me they are not going to fuck up what started out as a brilliant series by fucking up the ending. Gahhhh. There are shows that still make me angry when I think about how close they were to being 💯 and then they biffed it at the end.
And this episode de.fin.ate.ly needed more Jay and Sun (sorry Sky).
Noooooo! I decided to go ahead and watch this because comments had said it had a happy ending, but even though…
Mayyyyybe. But no communication at all for three years? Especially knowing that Qi would be going out of his mind? And I still have the question about the aunt and the doctor…
