(Ep1 24:30)what Lee Kang said translates to "why? do you like me?" but the subtitles said "why? pay…
I guess the translator was trying to censor what he said because it was inappropriate(?), because it's like they didn't want to translate it literally, so they went out of their way to tell you the jest of what he said. Maybe it clashed with their morals. Mine was translated correctly, though.
I keep thinking that it's like asking Shakespeare to write the script for a school play whenever Choi Min Shik is on. I guess I'm not used to seeing him in dramas, but I'm getting used to it slowly. The skill gap between him and others is so noticeable in such setting. He is such a masterful actor.
The kid is obviously playing the professor, and I'm hoping that the professor would notice before it's too late, but I doubt that would happen, since this is a thriller. Choi Min Shik, please stay safe. HAHA
Did you forget how he handled the accident? I don't feel bad for him. I hope he still has much coming to him.
No, but it's a part of being a coward. He actually stopped at first. I either remember or imagine his sister asking him to drive away. Either way, I'm not saying he is sinless, it's just that he is just a pathetic coward unlike his sister who is pure evil. You can tell by the scene where she tries to kill her father. Kang Jae Seong was reluctant to participate. He was shocked. She didn't bat an eye and even tried again. He deserves to go to prison for hit-and-run and reckless driving, but his sister deserves to rot in prison for two attempted murders and many other things. Their sins are worlds apart.
Just so you realize it. It's actually about 2 months after her death. That's when the baby was conceived, and…
Yes, of course. Her father isn't an excuse for being evil. It just wasn't good parenting and it doesn't result in a good thing. You could say that she wasn't a good person but was charged (or triggered) by his father's messed up way of parenting. Whether she let her father's bad parenting affect her as an adult or not is her own choice. So it's not like she is an innocent victim.
I didn't say she didn't care that her stepmother was a maid. I said that even if she wasn't a maid, she would've been angry because he moved on too quickly. She would've found another way to insult her and object.

For your first point, the kid can be insulted by both. Even if you knew your dad didn't love your mother, you would be insulted that he moved on that fast from their marriage, regardless of who he is moving on with. Kids recognize the meaning of marriage and know that it's disrespectful to move on that fast from a marriage. It's also not a good look for her dad to marry this fast, whether he married a maid or not, she would be embarrassed either way, because it's like an announcement that her mother didn't mean anything to him or that her father couldn't wait to find another one. The scene where they introduced the baby to them explains her reasoning, she literally says that it's only been one year since her mother died. If that's not the issue, she wouldn't have mentioned it.
For the second point, the reason why the twins are fighting against each other is their father. He kept pitting them against each other even as adults with the last time being his announcement in the first episode. Even the youngest daughter felt the pressure of getting the company so that's not the difference between them. She was planning to come back and take it from the twins to prove something to her father before meeting him as the soccer player. Also, none of the twins was sold off to a political marriage. The guy married someone he loved despite his father not trusting her, and the woman married a "mere" doctor, not a chaebol.
I haven't read the webtoon, but my guess is that he had a really good reason for going away, like a sickness or…
Flashbacks didn't tell you what was the reason for the last time he had done this. The female lead said that it's never this long without contact, so I thought this time it might've been a different reason. It's like a crying wolf thing. I don't want her to forgive him, and even if he had a really good reason for the last time, he doesn't deserve a second chance, but I'm saying that this is the typical path for a drama, so that there would be some tension, otherwise his existence is just boring/aimless.
Anyone recommends reading the webtoon simultaneously? Like reading only the parts that are out in the drama to catch any differences. I haven't done this before. I usually read either before or after watching the drama, but mostly before.
Why do so many people have a problem with the FL? I just watched Park Ji Hyun first lead drama, and I thought…
My guess is a previous bad character that they hated, and couldn't differentiate between the actress and the character, or because she looks different than the female leads they are used to in other dramas.
Doubt anyone will have 2ML syndrome. This 2ML seems arrogant and manipulative with the "I left something important…
I haven't read the webtoon, but my guess is that he had a really good reason for going away, like a sickness or something. Because in order for him to be a plot device, he has to have good qualities, otherwise no one is going to see him as a threat to the male lead. He would be just a parasite roaming around the female lead. She must have a reason to go back to him to have drama. Note: Please don't spoil it for me if I'm not correct in my guess. I'll get there on my own. ^^"
Female lead not fitting your beauty standards, eh? Must be tough for you to force yourself to watch a body type…
The hypocrisy in your sentence is laughable. Did she say someone forced her to look this way? or did you assume because her body didn't match your body or your preferred body shape? If you had bothered watch some of her interviews before you talk, you would've realized that it's probably because she sleeps a lot. Nothing wrong with that. Just accept that different people have different bodies. You even faulted her skin color, as if she can dramatically change her skin color to please "the film industry".
Actress Jin Kyung took care of herself so much so that the 10-year age gap felt like a 20-year age gap.
