Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
There is a segment of people who tend to forget or ignore how garbage a show or a movie is, if they were given…
A guy who just killed another, literally for being scared for his life and failing to help out, decides the next day, after an old lady's speech to take the moral high ground, failing to kill a bunch of a-holes to save himself and the baby, and not agreeing for the sake of "fair play" when he was offered a solution by the other team that allows him and the baby to be safe, knowing that a fair play means risking his life and the baby's next.

A mother takes a few seconds to decides to stab her child in the back, in order to save a lady she barely knows, even though she wasn't really sure that her son would proceed with the killing. Another mother chooses making a scene by committing suicide over trying her luck in the bridge in order to stay alive with her baby. I would've jumped with my knees for 0.1% chance and I'm lazy AF. That's just called survival instinct. An idiot just stands there with their back at the door, knowing that a bunch of people are all over the place trying to kill them.

In season 1, people were actually trying to survive. These people in this season just give up even though they had more reasons to live for. You say they were doing that for the baby or for morality? I'd say they had so many options and they picked the option where they killed themselves to make a scene or a statement, and that's just not how real people who are not being filmed do it.

There is a segment of people who tend to forget or ignore how garbage a show or a movie is, if they were given a final "meaningful" speech. Suddenly, a crazy unrealistic stupid show becomes a masterpiece with a meaningful message that is so deep that "common" people wouldn't be able to grasp it.
"We are not horses... We are humans." Well Effing duh!

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
Why these bad comments? Do you want a happy ending where everyone goes home? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It's a logical and realistic…
It is in no way logical or realistic.
A realistic ending would be if he agreed when they sacrificed one of their own in order for them to survive. Why would he risk getting killed leaving the baby with them? They obviously would kill her next round if got chosen to be sacrificed. It is insane.

Also, if he listened to the instruction carefully, he wouldn't have pushed that button at all. Neither he nor the baby had to die. He just had to test their patience not pressing the button until they get sick of waiting. But no, he had to make a scene.

The mother who jumped to save her daughter? I mean she could've tried her luck in the bridge, but no, she had to make a scene and commit suicide. The mother who killed her own son to save a woman she barely knows? She wouldn't be able to do that. Not in a million years. The son could've chickened out and never went through with the killing, and that hope definitely would be at the front of her mind. No mother takes a few seconds to decide to kill her own child. Certainly not a good/nice mother as the old lady was.

This ending wasn't logical or realistic. It was purely dramatic with "shocking" scenes and the cliched final speech.

I love when main leads die. I actually look for those movies, but this is so dumb, I can't get behind it. It is the equivalent of when a Hollywood movie does this thing where someone "stays behind" and sacrifice themselves for the team, dying a useless death when they all would've made it anyway. It is no masterpiece where the hero dies an impactful death at the end of the movie.

How come nobody is questioning why he had to press the button?
He didn't! He could've sat there and tested their patience.
They gave him a loophole and he messed it to make a statement, like an idiot.

What a stupid show. Those who think it's a good take on society must've been in a different reality than mine. It's just a bunch of producers, milking a dead show with half baked "ideas", and relying on unsophisticated people thinking it's much deeper than it is.

She was great in Mumu.
I think she is one of the best child actors I've seen.

The little girl is a genius.
But yes, they were really deaf. You can see their real jobs and stories at the end of the movie.

just watched the first episode, what's the context behind all these cops being former olympians? I must've missed…
I think it's a PR thing. They are marketing police using former Olympic athletes. You can see they were using the female lead as a poster girl just outside the station

hi just paused episode 3 nearly half way through it and i dont like this lol. i thought it would be like the series…
I think you are looking for serious action, so you are on the wrong place.
They are supposed to ruin it every time they are close because they are incompetent. They all fail quite often, not just Heo Sung Tae. Even the villain gets silly sometimes.

I'll probably pass on season 2.It was somewhat enjoyable, but it was very predictable, it lacks character development,…
I don't know when they will stop hiring actors who are seemingly too big for their roles, so that they end up being involved in the crime. I mean if you see Kim Sung Kyun and Park Gyu Young just hanging around in a mystery/thriller and not really having any significant lines, it's safe to bet that they have something to do with the murder. I mean they literally transitioned the shot from someone saying "it could be someone we know" to a shot of Park Gyu Youn drinking with the female lead at a bar in episode 3! How more obvious they could be?

Title Nine Puzzles
I'll probably pass on season 2.
It was somewhat enjoyable, but it was very predictable, it lacks character development, and everything just falls into place without much effort. Nothing really impressive comes out of the detectives. The female lead is a cliched combination between Sherlock Holmes and Detective Conan. She and the male lead just run around and chit chat with each other without really deducing anything. Plot Holes all over the place to a point where it became too unrealistic. Overall, it feels more like an "iconic" character generator, not really an intriguing mystery or thriller.

I agree with the daesang thing. Apparently, if you talk about it enough you win it. I think both Jong Kook and SeokJin were more deserving of the award. It still astonishes me that JongKook only won it once, even when he constantly has a high variety brand reputation, he is a social media sensation on their YT channel, he often has a bunch of SBS programs, and basically carried the channel.

It was mostly scripted to begin with, but I think it's becoming even less natural nowadays. I could swear I haven't seen a scene that wasn't fully staged in a while. They used to film things that they were doing anyway every now and then, but now everything seems to be set up by the production team. They invite each other to go some places, and they do competitions. Like do you do this in real life? No? Then what's the point of this show?

Yeah, I know. But anyone can have Parkinson's and he mentioned it like it was relevant to the fall. So, it could be either, and I don't think the writer would choose something fatal. It is a comedy after all.

Why are people worried though? Is it because of the call?
I think he mentioned when he fell down that Mohammed Ali had Parkinson's which could mean that he has it too, especially since his fingers tremored as he was falling. Parkinson's isn't a terminal illness. Although it is disabling, you could live a long life with it.

I'm glad she wasn't. I can barely tolerate her. Why did you choose her though? Is it because they look similar? Or because she played once with Park Bo Gum? I don't like reoccurring couples. We already saw them once as a couple. That would be like watching Reply 1988 twice. Park Bo Gum had a similar "cute boy" personality there too.

Important to remember that people have different tastes, and what's not your cup of tea is someone else's :)
Mercy For None is a serious action, though. There are plenty of good Korean serious action, but I only started seeing Koreans do comedy action dramas recently. I haven't started it yet, but I'm planning to since I like Seo Ji Seop.
If you compared this drama to Korean comedy action dramas, it's kind of decent. I watched Study Group, it started well but the second half was very boring, and I thought The Fiery Priest was awesome, way better than this. A Shop For Killers is good too. I haven't watched Weak Class Hero, but people recommend it a lot.

the MDL rating system is legit not an accurate rating system is like a likeability meter so do not take the rating…
I tend to put myself in a thriller writer's shoes (even though I'm not a writer), so I figure out the ones with a twist of "that person you already know but didn't suspect" pretty easily, and I spend the rest of the drama lying to myself that it's not. That's why I like it more when it's someone I don't already know or someone is revealed to be the killer at the beginning and you just enjoy the journey of catching them.

I think I was the most clueless watching Kairos, God's Gift and Beyond Evil. Beyond Evil has a similar vibe to Mouse and it was released in the same year. I watched it before watching Mouse so maybe that's why I wasn't too intrigued when I watched Mouse.
I don't remember when they revealed the villain in Ghost and Defendant, maybe it was at the beginning of the drama, but I thought they were the most entertaining throughout. I think they don't follow the cliche of the villain being someone you already know.
