I think that situation still normal in South Korea, not just for study overseas (probably will take 3 or 4 years).…
Not just there. Long distance relationships are very hard to maintain. It's common to just make no promises and break up rather than ruin the relationship you have. It's not the same to be present online than real life. It depends, of course. But it's a good way out for a drama writer.
The drama has achieved what the webtoon couldn’t. And that is Jukyeon’s character development. The webtoon…
Agree. In the webtoon she never changes and still wears makeup. I think they are both depending too much on each other for comfort and still not facing their issues alone. Them breaking up is a good way for them to grow by themselves. I guess that's what I want to see. This is what I would like to see tho but it doesn't happen in the webtoon. They just remain troubled but apart.
I'm really curious to see if we're going to have a season 2 and what will happen next,,, thankfully we don't have…
Do I spoil it for you? keep reading then: Do they break up? Yup. Time skip? Yup. If they go along as the webtoon, they are gonna be apart for a few years.
I'm starting to have problems with this drama... what are they doing with the queen and the guy inside her? is…
Knowing korean netizens, making the queen bi is not gonna happen. So far they are using this theory of "the two souls are merging" or at least their feelings. Yeah,I think they will send each one back to their original body. Sounds like a happy ending(?)
Oh no. I had to drop this after ep.5. The plot is so messy, it confuses me to follow up. Yes, the chemistry and acting is really nice but I can't enjoy it since it looks like 10 min unrelated Tik Toks. Also the thing that attracted me was the interview format (oh they are on a SHOW IN A SHOW) yet it quickly becomes irrelevant. It seems like they are filming by themselves with a selfie stick after ep.2. It has made me sad because I love almost all the cast but the story is very plain and unsurprising. Also the characters are unlikeable or at least visibly toxic.
Sorry for a weird question. My curiosity was killing me so,had to ask it somewhere.I have read few articles about…
Yes, it is also because she fits Korean beauty standards BUT don't forget the publicity and marketing behind it. It's like the Kardashian effect: how are these people and why do I know them? It's a about repetition. If enough people say it, it may become a common thing. I agree she is not an outstanding beauty but she has had a lot of opportunities in the entertainment to become this ideal of "pretty girl".
After 2 episodes I can say this is not for me. It's a slice-of-life drama but everything develops so slowly. As a journalist I can relate to the work they do and yes, it's very similar to real life. Even if SOME of the characters are nicely developed, the story has many clichés that make this an unoriginal plot. I find it hard to watch because of the slow pace and slow development. I get that they show different small stories (their lives and how news affects them), but I'm unable to relate with them. Everything just seems so "everyday life" that I feel like I am doing homework by watching it.
Positive things: The actors are amazing and the visuals are also very cool. The editing has been done nicely.
Tl;dr: Too much "slice of life", too slow and some clichés underdeveloped here and there. Dropped.
I mean I didn’t really like the original one either... but somehow the characters there were a little more entertaining?…
I really hated the characters in the Chinese one but loved the acting and pace. This Korean remake is super weird. Maybe it's because of the 20min episode, the old FL, and that the ML is already in love with her?
I agree, I watched the Chinese original and it's hard not to cringe at this remake. I wish they would've casted…
RIGHT? The ML already shows a huge crush on her. But hey, in the Chinese one, the ML only showed affection at the very end. I feel like I am not watching the remake.

The ending had me crying happy and sad tears.
