I used to think 16 episodes was the sweet spot, but then I discovered C-dramas that go on forever, and some of them are worth 78 episodes (The Story of Ming Lan). It doesn't matter to me how long the drama runs if it keeps my attention. I don't see many J-dramas because subs aren't available. I've seen a few on Viki, but their selection is limited. I've got Glass Heart on my To Watch list.

I sounded a bit melodramatic, didn't I? I wasn't actually traumatized, but I didn't think a chaebol would scrimp on her manicures!

I could have overlooked this, because it seems 59% of dramas have Blossom in the title! It's on my Watch Next list now.

I moved it to "Low Priority." I know I'm blunt (and that does cause problems), but I've never allowed a misunderstanding to go unaddressed. It drives me mad when supposedly intelligent people can't discuss things. It's weak writing.

I rated it a 9, too, and I very rarely outscore the MDL rating! I'm a low rater in comparison. But this drama did cliches right! And I loved that bewildered look the ML would get when reading FL's romance books.

I felt the last couple episodes should have been cut. On the whole, it was a relaxing drama, and I need those occasionally.

The friendships were so warm and wonderful. Just good people doing good things.

I loved the underlying concept of remaining true to one's self and not letting culture/family/whatever dictate the description of personal happiness.

Definitely a guilty pleasure romp! I think there was nearly every trope imaginable crammed into that tight time frame, but they still had room for plenty of enthusiastic kissing!

Lee Kyung Young wasn't a major part of the drama; his screen time could be fast-forwarded through.

I appreciate your stance, and you need to follow your moral compass. I hate predators, especially those of children. I have no understanding of nor forgiveness for them. That is a lacking on my part, because I am a Christian, and I know God can even forgive murder. But I'm not perfect, and I've accepted that I probably will always have a failing in that area. I'd give all child predators an express ticket to Hell.

Having said that, I've always enjoyed creative community endeavors, whether it was theatre, choir, or other events. I've performed, danced, and sang (all amateur!). I painted sets, applied makeup, and distributed programs. I know the hard work put into productions from the performers, crew, and supporters. In Dr. Romantic, there were 123 actors, which is only the tip of the iceberg of all the people involved with the production. There were makeup artists, costumers, set designers, and even electricians and caterers. Then there were the people who put up their money to finance everything. So many people involved, literally hundreds, many of them decent and hardworking. I don't want to punish them because of one man's evil. Benjamin Franklin stated, "It is better 100 guilty persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer."

I'd talked myself out of the subscription, especially since I'd just signed up for three months of Disney+/Hulu for $5/month. But I think you've talked me back into it! TV, books, good chocolate, and genealogy are my splurge items. I rarely eat out, barely budget for clothing, and quit my antique rose habit (except for Marie Pavie in the backyard). Indecision, indecision...

I respect people's autonomy. I never wanted to be with someone who didn't want to be with me, so I can't really understand people who do. The attraction has to be mutual, or it's embarrassing and problematic for one. I can understand the pain of rejection, but I can't understand the need to hang on.

If you enjoy Lee Rang, watch the sequel, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938. I have to admit I stopped it halfway, because I was so enjoying Lee Rang, and I didn't want anything to happen to him. As long as I don't hit play, he lives!
