I saw their promotional videos and interviews and they spoke so highly of the drama I was so excited. This isn't the type of drama I usually watch but I decided to give it a try... but it's just so boring I couldn't go past ep 10. I'm literally stuck there, not wanting to continue. Part of me wants to just finish/skim through the rest but it's so hard... Reading all the other comments shows I'm not the only one.
WiHaJun actually described this as an adult melodrama-- but it just seems like a documentary to me HAHAHA
I’m on episode 17 and I have no idea what their relationship is. They kissed (sort of lol) and held hands but they haven’t made it official and they have this weird dynamic where they still address each other formally. They only seem like a couple when they’re texting, like how she said I miss you and he said I miss you too. Like that was the first time he texted her anything romantic. But like… they are flirting obviously but not really together right?? I’m so confused.
Should I watch? I never watched I when the hype was high, but now I have nothing to watch and this seems appealing... sort of. Idk it's kind of long too :/
Okay I feel like all the bad reviews are ppl who immediately came to watch it after seeing the steamy trailer. Sure, after seeing every single kiss scene of the drama put into the trailer, I’m sure everyone thought it would be like that throughout the drama and had SUPER high hopes for an Elite-type Netflix kdrama (since we know Netflix is less conservative than Korean broadcasting stations lol). But if you actually gave it a chance you’d appreciate it for a show, not some rated r soft p*rn that’s labeled as a drama, it’s actually not half bad. I actually enjoyed it. I mean yeah they over exaggerated a lot to make it seem more “Westernized” but tbh it was fine. Not even cringe. I have my preferences in male lead and I hope to see him more in season 2, but who knows if they’ll even renew it.
So without any other spoilers can someone tell me who she ends up with. I highly prefer Ri An… but he shows up as the second male lead so I’m worried bc that could determine if I start or not. Ty
Without any spoilers... can someone tell me if this is a time travel drama? I need something new to watch and I've seen a few clips by accident, but I want to know if it's time slip related, as I just finished Lovely Runner and the time travel in that was a headache. Thank you :)
Okay yeah I tried, I really did, because I love the leads but I had to drop. At ep 22 too, so I really did try. But I know it won't really be worth my time so sadly I gotta say goodbye-- I'll just watch some clips. But to those who enjoy it, I'm glad.
Why tf is the mom so adamant in staying at the house-- how can she be so tenacious and 뻔뻔해 (sorry that's the best word I can describe it) like I know it's a million times better than their own house, but there's a limit to freeloading off of others. And saying thank you when he offers to stay in the attic? So embarrassing as a mother. When will she change. Never.
Man.. the mom is really pissing me off. I tried to ignore all the comments and stay unbiased, but I honestly thought that after Chenghuan moving out and the grandma dying with some advice for her parenting skills, she'd change. But nope, she just has to act all obnoxious, stirring more trouble. And the dad. Why can't he speak up for himself and his children??? I get that he's the nice parent, the old softie, but he seriously needs to know when to say no or act according to his morals. His wife is just dragging him around like a pushover.
Botticelli hotel is under the Yueda group which Zhang Pei Sheng/ YZM works for. ZPS recruit YZM to come back from…
no I don't even understand their dynamic. It seems like she's using him to get a higher position but honestly what's in it for him other than her saying she'll get him a secure position also? She's clearly using him

haha okay thank you for the clarification!! :) that helped a lot. Also our FL is the grandma's step-granddaughter right? Her dad's dad remarried the grandma? and our ML is a blood-related grandson of her from her first marriage? That's what I assumed.
@bubblylynnn: Zhang Pei Sheng is one of the executives at the hotel. Dennis is above her, she wants Zhi Ming to…
ahhh I see So the grandma is the secret owner of the hotel And the ML wants to use the FL to help get PeiSheng Dennis's position right. That makes sense. I was confused about PeiSheng's role bc she comes and goes. Thanks for the clarification.
wait I'm only on ep 5 but I'm so confused Is Zhang Pei Sheng working with Zhi Ming to take over Dennis's company? Where does the grandma fall into this? I thought Zhi Ming was the grandson... but he said he's gonna use Cheng Huan to his advantage to take over some company... the grandma's company????? Please no big spoilers, as I'm only a few episodes into it. :)
but I thought it would be the best friend's hahahah can you imagine
