OMG yes. Not only did NaYeon slap her, but she bullied her in high school to such a strong degree and ShinYu has no clue?! Definitely bothered me on another level too.
This drama just gets better and better. Something I didn't like at first is how they didn't really explain a lot of background, such as the bloody hand (some of us thought it was a metaphor for his cursed "brain" illness) and the question of how much of the past life does ShinYu remember (they didn't show us anything besides a few clips). Because of this I was really curious about whether he knew her past as AengCho (because we all knew HongJo was AengCho before they revealed it lbh) BUT now I like how they keep it a bit mysterious and keeps us guessing.
The big question remains as to what really happened in the past, like why he killed her. My guess is maybe if he killed her and got the curse for himself it wouldn't hurt her in return idk but that doesn't really make sense because she was too young to die anyways. Anyways, the most satisfying has to be him dealing with NaYeon meaning he found out about them not too long ago and only revealed it bc she was so clingy. I hope she gets what she deserves though, especially working with the old gardener. She hasn't been punished for slapping our HongJo!
I really miss his clingy cringe side from the first few episodes, it was such a new refreshing side of him. Saying the most cringe and cliche lines with a straight face was such an amusing aspect of the show, I miss that humor as the story is turning a bit more serious. Nonetheless, still great. Can't wait for next week! 2 weeks to go :D
Just had to come watching halfway today's episodee. WOW I'm so satisfied with how ShinYu brought together NaYeon and CEO Lee. So mature and you can tell he wants them together so they're out of his life. HAHAHA what a great way to get rid of obstacles in your life you know :D

okay and like... ShinYu also is at fault. If he loves someone else (LOVE not even LIKE) it's the right thing to do to break up with your current partner! It's disrespectful, like regardless of whether NaYeon was the nicest girl alive or a serial killer, why string her along when you're flirting with someone else. You know? He tried breaking up with her once yeah, but it wasn't taken seriously and they basically forgot about it.
Omg I really can't wait for Shin Yu to discover the SFL's true face but when will it happen ??? How many more…

So I really hope there is a scene where the whole epiphany of him realizing every bad thing NaYeon's ever done is satisfying.
Seriously not a dull moment in this drama. Most dramas have either good beginnings and then fall towards the middle/end but every episode of this is so exciting, it keeps me on my toes :D Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!!!
Her character develops later on - and her voice also changes accordingly. She is a lot less whiny if that helps?
IDK I was just so excited for this... my hopes were wayyyyy too high so that's probably one reason why I chose to push it to the side for now hahaah Don't get me wrong-- I love both leads. Just maybe it isn't it for me atm.

As a Korean I've watched nearly every kdrama out there already. That's why I've been watching Cdramas and now even Thai dramas while I wait for some good Kdramas to come out haha. I say I'm picky and selective but I've watched so many lol Thanks for the feedback though
So currently, I have this drama on hold. I really like the plot but there are a lot of subtle details that make it hard for me to continue watching I guess.
One really small detail that shouldn't be important but I can't help notice is the production quality. Like when they're in heaven, the set designs are mediocre and you can tell almost everything besides their platform is a green screen. I know how expensive it is to produce xianxia dramas but I guess it's because I've watched so many and now my standard is just too high. Like seriously too many to count, and each time I marveled at the set design/props.
Another is the FL. I don't agree with the people who always criticize her acting, but I realized it's the way she acts with her voice. Not sure how many people agree, but her facial expressions are on point-- when she's crying or being serious it's all there. But only a few episodes in, I noticed her voice is not parallel to her acting. It lacks emotion and sounds monotone most of the time. I love when actors use their real voices! But in this case, I can't say I love it.
The one thing carrying me was of course Ding. His eyes when he acts are so simultaneously soft and intense. Hopefully I get around to it, but I've just been pushing it back to where I know have it in my on-hold category-- not yet dropped completely.
They are so cute together, and I watched their interviews so I do really hope they get another project together. Maybe a modern drama without so much sadness. Perhaps she matches a quirky comedic character?

I like how they settled EomJi's case, even though I don't really like how they used the accidental death caused by someone dealing with a same-sex crush. More specifically, I mean the revealing of her last suicide note-like text left for DoHa. It was quite beautiful how she said she was just holding on til then and tried to emphasize how it wasn't his fault she was planning on ending her life. It's sad obviously, but also has its simplicity and shows the audience a different side of her than the usual psychotic ex-girlfriend everyone thought she was. As for every other character, the closure was just simple and sweet. Nothing too crazy. Overall, I'm just glad I got it over with tbh. The main factor that lost my interest was their chemistry on screen. I think it's because I loved his character in AoS and it matches him so much better. The chemistry in this drama was so much better off-screen also. Watch the bts and you'll see what I mean. THE END :)
