Season 2 is not a sequel. This is an adaptation of a novel, that was filmed as one show. It was divided into two…
Okay thank you.
The Chinese regulations are so confusing to follow. Like apparently dramas can't be about reincarnation/time travel anymore?? What's that about?? And why is there a limit for episodes (some have 80+ episodes!) or how soon the next season is airing???

With no spoilers, can someone lmk if I should watch this now?
I just found out there's going to be a season 2, so I feel like I should watch this when that comes out.
I don't want to watch with growing anticipation only to be left with an open ending for a sequel that'll probably take another year or two to come out.

3 years later and I'm rewatching it...
I know the whole no kiss scene issue is a turn off for a LOT of people, but it's honestly just so good.
So many conflicts but the ending is really satisfying. And the growth of our main characters (esp FL) is really great. Miss them so much, love my characters ❤️

Did you guys see that Hyeseon, Gwanhee, Hajeong, Minkyu, Sieun and Won ik had a shooting together for dazedkorea?…
Probably the popular ones-- you can tell by the poster which members will get more screentime than the others

What a beautiful ending.
YanLin was really MVP throughout the whole drama-- especially the end. I'm glad he found closure (but omg having to see them kissing right in front of him was a bit cruel no?) but still feel like he needs to play a lead role immediately so we can see him get the woman he deserves.
ML&FL chemistry was great, though I had to skip through some scenes like him grabbing her by the neck (not very romantic huh) and really feel like they should do another project, but one where they get together EARLIER. oh man. Waiting until the last few episodes was so hard. SO HARD agh.
I haven't watched a costume drama in a really long time because of the unnecessary court/political drama but this one wasn't too bad. All the villains acted great enough I hated them with a passion and all the protagonists were great enough to cheer whenever good things happened.
For sure invested enough time that I'll be thinking about this for a while. Maybe a week or so...
Guess I gotta watch their variety show!!
But seriously, the cast was amazing. I feel like Cdramas tend to have actors work on multiple projects together so hopefully this is one of those cases! 🤍❤️
I'll miss this one for sure. *cry

why are all the guys way older 30+ and all the women are 25-26?? couldnt they cast some older women and younger…
Maybe the other ones are different... ?
I feel like it's because stereotypically they want the man to be well established and successful and that usually means he'll be older. Whereas for the female it's considered "cute" if she's still in school or starting out in the industry modeling or whatever.

if she does return back in time (which I kinda hope she does but with tae ha!) won't she have to live as a widow…
She's experienced life in the modern world while TaeHa hasn't been to Joseon (yet).
So I feel like it'll end up with them in the modern world... but I guess we don't know yet.

On Single’s Inferno Season 3 Dec 12, 2023
I feel like the audience reaction to all the seasons are always in the end based on how likable the characters are.
Previously, there were characters I liked who gave off the innocent girl vibe so I had a good first impression of but then that changed when I saw their cunning side they try to hide so deeply. That being said, there are only 3 episode so far and they edit the episodes like crazy so I'd say it's too early to make any permanent opinions on the cast.

So far though, I have my likes and dislikes of course.
Of the girls I like HyeSeon with her smile but I can see her giving off the JiYeon vibe we saw in S1.
GyuRi is actually warming up to me-- she was cold and distant but it's totally reasonable for that to be due to nerves. Don't give her so much hate y'all we don't even really know her that well yet. SiEun really looks like S2 SeulKi (When she came out and Dex was intrigued I found it so ironic)
I will say though... I really dislike HaJeong. She seems like such a fox and the way she has this persona like she can get everyone she wants just doesn't sit right with me. She seems like the type to steal her friend's bf and not feel bad about it. Like I said, this can change, but I've never felt this strongly over a participant before. I hope it's just the editing.

Of the males I really liked GwanHee and his confidence didn't really come off as cocky to me but it's slowly changing because he told HyeSeon he won't change his mind but then suddenly tells HaJeong he didn't vibe with her and wants to see other people (reasonable, but why confuse HyeSeon then). I don't really have an opinion on others yet-- I just have physical appearance preferences so far.

The overall concept is interesting-- two infernos that'll slowly merge.
But I always felt like since S1 the contestants don't have enough time or opportunities to one-on-one converse with each other. It's always who they're interested in and then mostly just going straight from there.

Because it's season 3 and we've seen a pattern it's pretty obvious everyone's just there to either promote their businesses or influencer-selves, so it's a shame it's not genuine people looking for relationships, both platonic and romantic.

I hated 2. 3 has such a great twist I love how it's so different.
haha it's just getting fun for me. I had low hopes because of all the hype but it's better than I'd like to admit

With me I noticed that my first impression of everyone ALWAYS changes halfway through the show. I start to like the ones I didn't and vice versa. The reason I didn't like season 1 or 2 was because of how I could see more about the contestants' personalities as they show themselves a bit more, and that's when I saw how fake everyone was. The producers want people who attract attention so that's probably inevitable but I guess my hopes for a reality show were a bit too focused on "reality"

Isn't it too obvious if it's Noh DoKyung?
I feel like it'll be someone else. Always love when it's someone you least expect. Not saying it should be Joo Seok Hoon though lol

I know it's a lot to ask... bubt can we get a BuYeon & JangUk reunion scene please? At first, I thought GoYounJung was playing a reincarnation too, meaning she'd never have a scene with LeeJaeWook but now that we know she's SeoInGuk's gf and LJW is one of his reincarnations... PLEASE let us have our crumbs at least🤭❤️❤️

Can't believe this drama is already done ㅠㅠ
Easily top 3 of 2023!!
Loved the first episode-- the child actors were so phenomenal and the reason why I didn't drop the drama in the beginning.
Such an original plot, with amazing side characters.
Really had ups and downs with RanJoo, like when she was being selfish but part of me couldn't really blame her. Or with President Lee too, though my understanding of him didn't really grow until the last few episodes.
I was only a bit upset about how the head of Sugar Agency (bald man with hat) didn't really get that closure I thought he would-- like I thought MokHa would go to his agency instead.
I didn't necessarily get second lead syndrome with WooHak but he was such a strong pillar of support I wish they showed him moving on from MokHa too. It was obvious BoGeol/KiHo knew of his brother's feelings though.
And now to our mains.
MokHa was great. She was so strong and determined throughout the show, even with her running away that one time which was reasonable to help their family. Her acting was great, and she's such an amazing actress with her versatility to play widely different characters.
But my favorite has to be BoGeol. He is just on another level. His tenacity and selflessness since a child, all the way til adulthood deserves applause. I hate how they kind of downplayed all he really had to sacrifice because the way they describe it sounds like he didn't give up a massive amount of time. And MokHa's acknowledgement of her knowing was a little... bland. Obviously she loves him and was thankful beyond, but it would've been nice to express that a bit more.
Just my two cents.
So heartwarming and healing. Loved everything! The music, pace, characters... 9/10!
