Sometimes it’s better to run or surrender than fight.Jin Man chose the best option in this situation. Jian is…
Maybe she might. He is teaching her a lesson. When she was young her family was massacred. He wants her to only trust herself and not be vulnerable. Look at how they murdered his family just to get him and although he hadn’t had contact with them for years they still went after them to get him. So he’s preparing her too cause he can’t always fight for her

Oh i have sooo many doubts i really can't believe we got just two episodes left.-How is Bale alive? This is really…
Sometimes it’s better to run or surrender than fight.

Jin Man chose the best option in this situation. Jian is t at his side anymore she was in Seoul. He had no way of knowing if those guys were keeping close watch on her and ready to kill if he made a move so his best bet is to “die”. I see what he did as protecting Jian. He knows how he raised her and he knows the people he really trusts has her back.

I also don’t think actually died either. My guess is he’s just watching from afar. Granted he should step in and not let Jian take over but with the situation at hand him staying dead is good. The best way to catch your enemy off guard is by not letting them k ow your next move. I think in their head him leaving the organization and easing his niece must have made him soft. Cause they knew he isn’t a cold blooded killer like Bale.

Bale not dying that’s another thing. I need an explanation too. But I’m going to take a wild guess and say someone came to save him. Maybe someone from the team who’s dead loyal to him alone or some stranger🤷🏾‍♀️

So.. Is Jin man Really dead??
We'll find out next week for sure but all signs point to yes.
Spoilers below for episodes up to 6.

The entire property was heavily surveilled & fortified prior to the website's "security breach" & Jung Min showing up to "help out his old classmate's uncle". They watched him for days as he poked around. Jin Man has cameras on Jian, even at college, with Brother watching & keeping an eye out for her. Aint no way he would be tricked by a voice recording that didnt have his name invoked once.
Jian has never called Jeong Jin Man "Uncle" when frightened, only in casual conversation. All she ever has to do is call out Jeong Jin Man 3x & whomever is hurting her will disappear & Jin Man will come for her.

He "killed himself" in a room that has a tunnel leading out of it. There is time missing on the cctv recording in the bathroom from when Jin Man was talking to Jung Min as he hung from the ceiling. That would give Brother enough time to stage the bathroom with blood & have drugs for JinMan on standby to make him appear dead. JinMan has known connections within the community after saving many families financially. It wouldn't be a stretch if the police detective helped him fake his death & then dissuaded Jian from an autopsy.
One of the last things JinMan did was give Pasin a code phrase.

Despite the comments filled with negative/people not liking the drama/episode, but for me, the drama is really good! I am the type of person who doesn't really watch historical dramas but I decided to watch this because first of all, Park Jihoon is here. I've known this man since his Produce 101 and I have also seen his few dramas and I know that he will slay and won't dissappoint me on this drama.

The first week of the drama'a release was only 1 episode and after finishing that episode, I enjoyed it very much and was hoping for more. Again, I am the type of person who doesn't watch historical drama because I get bored from it. And if there are any historical parts in a certain drama, I would most likely skip it because I find it boring. But this one, it's good ngl! I might be biased because my man Jihoon is here but maybe it's another plus because he is the main character of this drama. The episode got me wanting more and I keep on rewatching the episode until the next release of another episodes.

Let's talk about the plot/story. To be honest, there are no perfect drama storyline and I would agree that there are some holes from the storyline. But I get the flow of the story. I am not sure for others but for me, every episode is cliffhanger. I always get annoyed on how they always end the episode at the RIGHT time. You wanting more and getting curious on what happened next. That'a what LSFI makes me feel every end of episode.

The cinematography is not that great, let's be honest. But if we are talking about acting wise, for me, it'a good. They are great actors and I really like their dynamics especially Eunuch, Ji Jeon Seo, and Sajo Hyun. These three are always together and I love seeing how those two are loyal to Sajo Hyun. He needs someone who will be beside him because from the story, Sajo Hyun has been through a lot and one of this is him having dual personality (the evil spirit).

I would also like to say that the dual personality is what hooked and pushed me more into watching the drama. It is really interesting to see how Jihoon will portray the characters of two different personalities. Well, based from the episodes so far, he showed his best acting and I am always impressed on how he can execute Akhee and Sajo Hyun very well. Like, I would recognize immediatrly whose who because of the way they act, the way they speak, their eyes, their hair, everything. Imagine, the same person but with different personalities in one drama is impressive. I really like how versatile an actor Jihoon is.

The episodes released so far is really interesting. Considering we are only at the middle part of the drama and there are a lot of things happenibg already. Like the story is escalating very fast. What I think about this is that, there are more things to show. More complicated and emotional scenes I guess. And that's what excites me the most!

Anyways, to those people who have read this far and if you are still having thoughts on continuing or watching the drama, then this is your sign! Go for it! Please give it a chance and watch the drama. We may have different ideas, opinions, perceptions, and comments in the drama but to those people who enjoyed watching the drama along with me, then let's continue in supporting this great drama and promoting so that people wouls recognize this drama.

This drama is so underrated and it needs attention so badly on how good it is! The plot twists are insane and even if it is based on webtoon, the story was changed in some areas. Just give it a chance and understand the story because it's just so good!

*Oh btw, all of these are my personal opinions. I like the drama because I enjoyed watching it. Each episodes are so good and always makes me thrilled and excited on what will happen next.

Ak Hee is so childish and immature compared to Sajo Hyun. Hyun is still unpacking a lot of childhood trauma, and is cautious with his words and actions as he has seen first hand what happens when you step out of line. Ak Hee doesn't care about anyone's feelings but his own 99.9% of the time. That 0.10% is for his KyeRa. It's not that he doesn't want Wol in harms way staying in the palace...he wants her gone because he doesn't want Hyun to have her and not HIM.

Hyun is so thoughtful with his actions toward Yeon Wol as he gets to know her. He feels helpless when it comes to protecting her, but is willing to give up his life to save her. i.e. when he broke the enchantment keeping Ak Hee dormant.
Yeon Wol is willing to die if it means that the people in the kingdom could live a better life. Ak Hee just wants to run away from his responsibilities like an actual child. Not because he feels he can't do a good job like Hyun. No, he just can't be bothered with other people's suffering.

Yeon Wol and Sajo Hyun's goals are the same. They want a more peaceful kingdom for the people and to right the wrongs of the past. Ak Hee is pure chaos and selfishness.

Sometimes letting the world burn to save the one you love is worth it. But when the one you love loves that world, if you become the thing that destroys it, you become the villain in their eyes. And you could loose their love forever.
(For those who have read the Hunger Games I keep thinking about how Ak Hee is like Gale. Ready to bail at any second with the girl one day and send bombs down to kill innocent children and first responders the next, if it means getting to his goal. Katniss could never see him the same way after the bombs dropped. The artistic, thoughtful, calm, and patient Peeta, like Sajo Hyun, was always whoever he needed to be to insure that Katniss survived along with her family, and was ultimately the one who soothed her soul. Even when Peeta's goals didn't align with Katniss' it was never at the expense of others, just his own happiness and self.)

Please excuses the run-on sentences and horrible grammar.

After watching 8 episodes, I wanna talk about palace politics from Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee's perspective.

Sajo Hyun has a calm personality, but his weakness lies in the trauma caused by his cruel father's upbringing. After Sajo Hyun ascended the throne to become Emperor, we can see the development of his character who became wiser and more aware of palace politics which had many intrigues. Sajo Hyun is not stupid at all, he knows that none of the people around him are truly sincere because they're thirsty for power, but Sajo Hyun doesn't use rash methods to provoke them. He prefers a more careful and planned method.

In contrast to Ak Hee, he's Sajo Hyun's other personality who is a little more aggressive, childish, and cruel. Something I like about him is that he quickly realizes that there were people in the palace who were plotting against the new Emperor (Sajo Hyun). He's also good at using tricks and will not be easily bullied by his family and the ministers. His only weakness is that he's a little impulsive so some of his actions aren't planned for the long term.

So in my conclusion, Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee are not stupid at all when it comes to handling palace politics.. It's just that their approach to palace politics is very different. I really look forward to their progress, it will be more exciting if Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee work together to improve the flawed government system and eradicate people who want to commit treason. Sajo Hyun will make a more structured plan, while Ak Hee will appear to use bolder methods at critical moments.

I was just on X and it bothers me when I see some saying SH is a coward or he's never able to save K. People forget or don't understand the trauma he's been through. It's not something he can easily forget or get over. During the fighting scene you can see he's struggling with killing people and everything that's happening around him, but he's trying his hardest because he wants to save all those women. It was until K went inside the burning place that he fell apart because that hit too close to the past. Wonder if it was the other way around and K is the one with the trauma if people would call her a coward too for not being able to save SH. Also, this trauma is what gave us AH. Whether he's another personality or an evil spirit, AH wouldn't exist without it. He would be long gone if SH had overcome his past.

Oh and I forgot to mention...I think the court lady that became K's friend will end up sacrificing herself to protect her.

Final thoughts: The initial four episodes were excellent creating a sense that something iconic was in the making. However the quality declined later on. The writer seemed to have copied elements from previous fantasy shows and mashed them into one plot. Higher ratings might have been given if there was some originality in the plot. The only highlights were the main leads visuals and their chemistry.

Lazy ending… I hoped Gu Won would come back to life as a human, making peace with it or giving up his powers in exchange for a life with Do Do Hee. They spent so much time exploring how he is getting back his human feelings etc and how there are rules in life bla bla bla just for resolving all conflicts in a heartbeat? At least make it bittersweet so they can continue their human lives cut short in the past.

Also, after ep. 14 I though they would make Noh Suk Min a demon as well somehow? Anyway I think it could have been much better if the writers were more brave but it was just meh…

Saw this a little too late.
But i agree. I do prefer it when the main couple stays together and tries to solve all the issues/misunderstandings rather than letting it affect their relationship.
(unless ofc it's not a misunderstanding and the other person is an ah. lol)
Pretty much the whole "us against the world" trope. Wish we got more of that!
