She do not need doing a dirty job and live on the mansion served by maid. OFC her mannerism somehow changed. But her character overall remains same, she is kind, smart , consider other people's feeling and have little bit low self esteem sometimes.

Jing Yi style in this drama is great. I despise her look on so many her previous drama especially when they put crazy trinkets on her head.

Her style in Sword anf Fairy 4 also good, fairy simple yet compliment her facial feature.

Just random thought. If Apothecary Diaries adapted into live action, Lusi is simply the best candidate for Maomao.

People criticize Kiku chan too much, borderline nitpicky. I think her acting in this one is good, she clearly play Cai Wei that outspoken and slightly mischief. Still I don't want lie that her acting skill not as high as Bai Lu or Yang Zi. She still enjoyable to watch as long writing is not sucks. Sword and Fairy 4 also good, she done well there.

Kikuchan put effort improving her acting not just depends on good looking unlike Angelababy.

This drama have different cast, different production house and different director from MJTY. IDk why you strongly compared it? This drama and MJTY are completely irrelevant.

If you compared MJTY to Fangs of Fortune, I am kinda understand because same director and same production house.

Xianxia masterpiece for me

It is not MJTY. Why you compare it? Not only that, you put some expectation and dissapointed by it.

ML is a good guy but FL was wicked woman. A woman that ML love swap face with FL.

Well it is surprising. They radio silence for long time and dropped it. And.. it is good.

JJY quite nailed as unhinged bad girl. She need to play different role instead typecasting.

The lesson from this drama that childhood trauma and neglect was a bitch. People hardly recover from a trauma , FL and ML are both damaged people. Nothing can be undo. I am appreciate this drama to not whitewash effect of child trauma. ML is so red flag and raw, FL was crazy before she get a second chance.

One year post production is normal actually. They still can tease with teaser and trailer while we wait for it.

They get all beautiful faces for this drama.

It is way better they take time on post production than rushing it out.
