CGI in this drama ( unless creatures ) is actually really nice. When FL doing fire spell to open a freezing door. The effect is effin good and convincing.

Story looks like manga/manhwa with characters training, level up and whatnot. While side characters become distraction for villain or make a way for the main hero. Kinda cool.

It is Xianxia. Don't have high hopes that comedy will last long.

I seen lot of people cosplaying as characters of this drama on Tiktok / Instagram. I don't know how they got a costume but it is spot on.

It is pretty much homage drama. It is remake of old series from 1992. They remake ost and some plotline. Story kinda all over but OG one also kinda like that without have rose tinted glasses. The worse part is ML acting , Alan Yu is too wooden and sometimes awkward. I can't feel the romance because his acting, JJY acting is really good. Supporting cast acting also pretty good especially that jealous arrogant girl Ru Yi.

The things I like the most are depiction of God Realm and second sister The green Snake. I like Xiao Qing on this one , her style and attitude are improvement from old one. So technically it is not bad as people said.

I am just annoyed with novel readers with their fetish that keep said ML should be more evil and inflicting more pain to FL.

Yes. It is best ending for this drama with bleak theme. TTJ has become a different man at the end because series of events he experienced. People calling Dream arc was unnecessary and boring but it is the one changed him the most. He experienced honorable life of GoW that defended entire continents and it is affecting his process of thinking . It is become poetic justice as well because dream life prepared by Ming Ye itself for future DG.

Cast are full of top tier actors.

CDL is such a beautiful girl. But this drama ruined her smile. Whenever I her smile on BTS, I am angry. Tian Huan always do this nasty sociopath smile when she do awful thing.

Su Ying is just another dumb bitch that can't understand word "No". Worst part is she is really strong dumb bitch.

Spirits should be like those. In Chinese mythology, spirits have human body and grotesque animal head. Sometime they also have animalistic limbs. Only really strong spirits such Nine Tails Fox that can retain perfect human body. White Snake Bai Suzhen also can turn into snake form if hurt or drunk.
