Normally don't comment as much but I just wanted to say I love all the small little subtle details that make me gush over Gu Wei and LZX. I've watched up to Ep. 7 and I love that when he looks at her they just make eye contact and understand each other. Or the fact that when he comes in to explain things he looks at her right after. Ughhh! Our oblivious girl isn't noticing but me and Qiuqiu are! Haha. It's unspoken language comfortability that these 2 somehow formed unknowingly and I'm all for it. I seriously can't get enough! 😍😍

I've been anticipating this one for both Neo and Leo as I love them both and this did not disappoint. I've watched up to Ep.28 and this truly is a gem! I love all the 90s references and its a good break from the modern day dramas.

I was so sad to see XC and PQH have to separate as I loved seeing them together so much but personally, getting to see the both of them grow in their own way is great too. But I cried so bad when PQH visited XC in Foshan. All the details he noticed about XC was such a nice touch. I love the brotherly friendship these two have!!

Also, I like the romance in here. It's so cute how it goes about with the 2 couples. Was so excited to see PQH finally come around. Haha. I don't want this to end yet at all. :/

Ok I just finished Ep. 12 and honestly, trying to keep my bias aside from the novel. The flowers he gave to her on stage at the anniversary was such a minor but nice detail that I loved and I hope that they touch on it more in the later episodes because if not, I'd be upset. Its the small details that make it cute to see them get together. I feel like everything is all over the place at the moment in the storyline but I quite like them together. Also, DJY is quite petty/childish as well. It's quite annoying. I don't know if he's insecure because he knows he's older but whatever way he is doing to pursue her is not good at all. It's just annoying to me lol.

They cant use PUBG for copyright reasons I guess. So the writers have to cook up a new imaginary game for the…
Okay. I thought maybe it was for copyright reasons but wasn't sure. But it makes a bit more sense why it's harder to understand the game in the drama instead of what they had in the book. But definitely! The leads are quite fun to watch atm.

Couldn't contain myself and signed up to join in on the conversations. Hehe.

As someone who read the book, I'd say that this is actually going quite well and following almost exactly like the book. I know a lot of people are not quite happy about the pace but it seems so rushed for me haha. I've only seen up to Ep.6 but I just don't feel as connected with the characters like I did when reading the book. I know it's not good to compare but obviously they've added a few things not in the book but also the details in the book make it more cuter and exciting when they get to finally meet. I don't know if they changed the name of the game to Beautiful Soul for any specific reason or if that's what they call it in China but in the book it clearly states the game is PUBG. The reason why I say I feel less connected is that yes, in the book they also focus a lot on Lu Jing and Liang Chen playing the game but unlike the drama he explains to her in detail how to play the game and is actually teaching her. But I guess since it's the drama version they're making it more visual and using that as how they start to "bond" but I'm not quite feeling it. For example, when he changed her name to the Thousand Year box in WeChat it was cuter from the book perspective because in the beginning he explains to her what the boxes are and how to get them and what the content inside are used for. I mean I know that they do that in the drama as well but I feel like they brush over it. Also, Sun Bin Yu is suppose to be gone for a month and he's literally gone for a month. No news of him or even details until he comes back. A lot of the focus is between Liang Chen and Lu Jing plus the game and how they will meet. So I'm interested to see how they make his story. I know a lot of people don't like DJY's character and I agree haha! When reading you know he's older but I think seeing an actual character changes everything. Plus, he seemed less annoying in the novel. Like he wasn't focused on enough for me to even really care about him. Haha.

Okay sorry for the long post guys! Although, I don't want to try and compare too much haha I just wanted to share some thoughts. But honestly, I am actually quite liking it so far too! I'm so happy to see GuWei Yi's roommate in here with him again. The curly hair guy. Makes me miss PYHOMS! Also, I actually like some different things they added in here like him being able to play Violin or that whole dance scene! I was all for it. Lastly, I can't wait for when they meet. Next week needs to be here already! :D
