Exaactly. I was already annoyed with their storyline but that was the final blow. I only like TianTian now when she helps block Lv Jian. Otherwise, her love life story is a miss. Too cringey to watch now.

This one day episode thing is killing me but just wanted to get some stuff off my chest. I've enjoyed reading the comments and agree with you all so much. 2nd CP is so odd and not memorable. The boss is so bad at acting when he lies yet TianTian doesn't see it. Smh. But whats worse is that she instantly falls for him after "maybe" considering that she might like him 2 episodes before. It was so poorly written I can't even fathom why we continue to see these two.

I'm all caught up to 19 and although I too have spoiled myself haha, I've been really rooting for Zhuang Yu up to this point. I hope that ep.20 won't turn me around on him with his decision. His character has been my favorite because his development is the only one that I've felt has been consistent. I still like Yu Meiren for her antics but gosh darn it, there's not enough screen time for our leads . The chemistry is so good but everyone else keeps trying to steal the stage.

Ep. 8 today was filled with the leads and such cute interactions. I love the contrast of their personalities. Funnily, she was thinking about how sweet/ thoughtful he is yet his responses shattered her thoughts. But he's quite thoughtful just shy to openly accept it. When she almost slips and he quickly tries to catch her it was sweet. He quickly retracts his hand because you can tell he knew she would say something about it. Can't wait to continue seeing their interactions!

Also, thank goodness President Jin found his "fairy". That picture he drew does no justice. Lol.

Episode 8 must be the best one so far -at least for me- ^^ Meiran wasn't too childish and she did behave well…
Agreed! It was so natural and I liked that we see both of them nerd out a little with their interests of plants and birds.

Ep. 7 today Zhuang Yu had me convinced like everyone else at the party . Literally had butterflies watching that scene. When he called her "Xiao Mei" I lost it. But of course turn of events and when they leave the party its back to normal. I laughed a bit too hard when the music suddenly stopped from the beautiful carrying scene and he drops her. LOL! They set us up so good for feels. 😂

I'm hooked! Zhang BinBin is a treat in here. I'm digging his character the most. I like that his character's slowly being revealed. Plus, those glasses! He looks so good in here. 😍 FL's high energy character is harder to consume atm because it all came at once.
It's another cold ML and bubbly FL type drama but I'm all for it. Although some things FL did in the beginning to ML did make me cringe a bit. I was frustrated with him when FL was following him every where.
Another big plus, they both are using their real voices. I know some people don't quite like it but I think it fits.

That new trailer!! 😍😍 I'm still so excited to see how this one will turn out ever since finishing the book.

For those who read the book as well, the snow scenes are 🔥🔥I can still remember how I felt reading about it.

What great content that has came out so far! I was looking forward to Ren JiaLun's OST the most and I'm glad they released it first. The comedy trailer seemed fun. I can see the chemistry! Now on to wait for the sadness that seemed like what the first trailer prepped us for. Haha

All good points today in the comments!
Shoutout to the director, Scriptwriters and author because its been a long time since I've watched a drama and had my thoughts split in half for couples argument.

This is probably the 3rd or 4th major arguement LBY and CSS have had together as a couple so far where they both make valid points. I literally can never side with any one of them. Normally, its one of the leads being unreasonable or makes irrational assumptions. But these 2 are having arguments that make sense and wont cause me to pull my hair out. I've argued with myself so many times already throughout the recent episodes as to who is right and I can't even decide. LOL. I love that these arguments are propelling and moving the story forward in such a reasonable way. Anyone else get conflicted like me too? They both have their wrongs but rights too. Idk if I even make sense anymore. Haha.

I've been enjoying reading everyone's comments from part 1 up to now. Glad I'm all caught up too. Ep.30 today was wow! The ending really got me with a twist when Consort Yue affirmed LBY about CSS. I thought she was going to roast LBY or something. But man! was that so satisfying to watch. Her presence was definitely felt and she holds her self so well. I even felt scared of her! Haha. I loved that Emperor was so chill throughout her whole teaching. He was all like "she got this".

I'm loving WL and ZLS chemistry so much. Maybe its just me but I love that every time its only LBY and CSS together he speaks so softly to her. It gives the scenes a little special touch of intimate /relaxing ambiance. They have to deal with so many snotty/annoying people with obnoxious words it's like a breath of fresh air when they talk to each other alone. Plus, LBY is smiling so much more it makes me so happy to see him happy. These micro expressions and little details make up so much for the sweet chemistry. In Ep.29 when they looked at the stars or even when he pulled her outside to ask about her hand. All such nice conversations.

I'm assuming a lot of people are reading the novel now too? Because I am! Haha. I love Ding Yuxi and finally found time to read the novel. I absolutely loved it! And seeing the new trailers make it so much more exciting. I too can't wait anymore. I won't try to compare novel with drama and just wish the best to the team too. However costume/small clip wise, it does seem like some of the novel bits are in. Excited for the air date announcement!

Normally don't comment as much but I just wanted to say I love all the small little subtle details that make me gush over Gu Wei and LZX. I've watched up to Ep. 7 and I love that when he looks at her they just make eye contact and understand each other. Or the fact that when he comes in to explain things he looks at her right after. Ughhh! Our oblivious girl isn't noticing but me and Qiuqiu are! Haha. It's unspoken language comfortability that these 2 somehow formed unknowingly and I'm all for it. I seriously can't get enough! 😍😍

I've been anticipating this one for both Neo and Leo as I love them both and this did not disappoint. I've watched up to Ep.28 and this truly is a gem! I love all the 90s references and its a good break from the modern day dramas.

I was so sad to see XC and PQH have to separate as I loved seeing them together so much but personally, getting to see the both of them grow in their own way is great too. But I cried so bad when PQH visited XC in Foshan. All the details he noticed about XC was such a nice touch. I love the brotherly friendship these two have!!

Also, I like the romance in here. It's so cute how it goes about with the 2 couples. Was so excited to see PQH finally come around. Haha. I don't want this to end yet at all. :/

Ok I just finished Ep. 12 and honestly, trying to keep my bias aside from the novel. The flowers he gave to her on stage at the anniversary was such a minor but nice detail that I loved and I hope that they touch on it more in the later episodes because if not, I'd be upset. Its the small details that make it cute to see them get together. I feel like everything is all over the place at the moment in the storyline but I quite like them together. Also, DJY is quite petty/childish as well. It's quite annoying. I don't know if he's insecure because he knows he's older but whatever way he is doing to pursue her is not good at all. It's just annoying to me lol.

They cant use PUBG for copyright reasons I guess. So the writers have to cook up a new imaginary game for the…
Okay. I thought maybe it was for copyright reasons but wasn't sure. But it makes a bit more sense why it's harder to understand the game in the drama instead of what they had in the book. But definitely! The leads are quite fun to watch atm.

Couldn't contain myself and signed up to join in on the conversations. Hehe.

As someone who read the book, I'd say that this is actually going quite well and following almost exactly like the book. I know a lot of people are not quite happy about the pace but it seems so rushed for me haha. I've only seen up to Ep.6 but I just don't feel as connected with the characters like I did when reading the book. I know it's not good to compare but obviously they've added a few things not in the book but also the details in the book make it more cuter and exciting when they get to finally meet. I don't know if they changed the name of the game to Beautiful Soul for any specific reason or if that's what they call it in China but in the book it clearly states the game is PUBG. The reason why I say I feel less connected is that yes, in the book they also focus a lot on Lu Jing and Liang Chen playing the game but unlike the drama he explains to her in detail how to play the game and is actually teaching her. But I guess since it's the drama version they're making it more visual and using that as how they start to "bond" but I'm not quite feeling it. For example, when he changed her name to the Thousand Year box in WeChat it was cuter from the book perspective because in the beginning he explains to her what the boxes are and how to get them and what the content inside are used for. I mean I know that they do that in the drama as well but I feel like they brush over it. Also, Sun Bin Yu is suppose to be gone for a month and he's literally gone for a month. No news of him or even details until he comes back. A lot of the focus is between Liang Chen and Lu Jing plus the game and how they will meet. So I'm interested to see how they make his story. I know a lot of people don't like DJY's character and I agree haha! When reading you know he's older but I think seeing an actual character changes everything. Plus, he seemed less annoying in the novel. Like he wasn't focused on enough for me to even really care about him. Haha.

Okay sorry for the long post guys! Although, I don't want to try and compare too much haha I just wanted to share some thoughts. But honestly, I am actually quite liking it so far too! I'm so happy to see GuWei Yi's roommate in here with him again. The curly hair guy. Makes me miss PYHOMS! Also, I actually like some different things they added in here like him being able to play Violin or that whole dance scene! I was all for it. Lastly, I can't wait for when they meet. Next week needs to be here already! :D
