thanks for your review - just finished the last 2 episodes and wanted to hit their heads together! Why did they waste 3 years?? Would have loved to learn what happens next: does ML stop being in BPM? Would have liked to have seen a little bit more affection between the ML and FL. I'm used to jdramas slow burn but would have been nice to show bit more of romance. Actors were brilliant.

still watching it and enjoying it. Totally agree regarding kdramas - must admit I've recently only watched jdramas as I find them more realistic than kdramas (even when based on mangas) suppose just a question of preference I like the understated style of Japanese acting.

Yeah, I have similar thoughts about the actors for Incurable case of love. I will try "First Love", the…
It's brilliant, great acting, cinematography, OST (bought OST then Utada Hikarus cds after!)

Absolutely!I'm not even considering watching the original, I'm that satisfied! 🤩
Have 2 episodes left to watch love everything about it. Definitely won't be watching the Korean version as don't like the FL. First time I've seen this Japanese actress in a series and looking forward to seeing her in more. Takeru Satoh was what drew me to this - amazing as ever. But definitely an ensemble of great actors.

An Incurable case of love was my first jdrama loved the ML but not the FL. I'd recommend "First Love" with same actor brilliant cinematography OST etc. Haven't watched the Kdrama version of this as don't like the FL. Have 2 episodes left to watch on this and absolutely loving everything about it. Casting/acting is brilliant though must admit find Tomoya character really irritating. Agree energy style of actors really add to this: must admit like the more understated way of jdramas compared to kdramas. Definitely a series I'll watch to re-watch again.

I think it's only on Prime in selected regions...
I can see an ad for it on Prime in Europe but no subtitles nor episodes?

Well I thought ring Takeru Satoh !!
I think he's a bit frustrated as I'm starting to ask questions about Japan (seeing as he travelled there so frequently) and he doesn't have the answers! Yes Kondo my hairdresser and I have great chats - when I mentioned Takeru Satoh she told me his age - and I told her I could be his granny!! Yes I think it's always good to have a little obsession or two - keeps life interesting!!

Oh gosh that scene when he's cancelled meeting here at the Italian restaurant... That started me off buying jmusic: bought the OST, then Utadas greatest hits, then her 'Hatsukoi' cd then the concert on Netflix... I've watched that I don't know how many times.. The OST is so good that I can see the images from the series.. BRILLIANT actress in it too.... I'm probably older than the average fan (probably could be his granny!) but its a wonderful drama - everything: actors, script, OST, cinematography.. Husband who has actually lived (briefly) in Japan and visited both Japan/Korean annually for work stuff for 30 years is getting a bit irritated with my jdrama obsession.Thankfully my hairdresser is Japanese so we can talk about it too! I don't know why "Hatsukoi/First Love' never got any major awards it was sublime...

I didn't watch the korean version as I don't like the FL
From what I've seen her in, she seems to act exactly the same way a bit like the Japanese actress FL in 'An Incurable case of love" didn't find her great in that and then watched her in a series she'd done 8 year before and her acting was exactly the same: limited range. Haven't watched Secretary Kim at the moment preferring Jdramas....

Yes me too don't know why saw her in "Her Private Life' and "Forecasting love and weather' and just didn't believe in the character she was playing.

As a jdrama watcher, I can say that the fashion style in jdrama isn't that lavish compared to kdrama so don't…
I'm obviously a relatively newbie to both j and kdramas, and also agree that j style is quite 'classic' in a certain way (maybe others would consider old-fashioned) but definitely less 'blingy'/modern than costumes in kdramas. I agree I liked the dress she chose in the shop (which looked expensive).
