The Prisoner of Beauty 👈🏻👌🏻Shadow LoveLegend of Shen LiLegend of the Female GeneralFated Hearts😊
I saw prisoner of beauty and legend of the female general but I wouldn’t say they’re like a splendid match and story of minglan. The rest either but fated hearts was on my mental watch list
This reply was kinda rude, given the person just didn't agree with you. Someone not agreeing with you doesn't mean they're not really watching. I agree with the OP. Everything you highlighted in your reply are true things but they didn't express that through his character. We've never seen him be upset with his lot in life. Even in tiny ways. The way they set up his arc, was even if he didn't get the girl, he might be mature, silently sad but not going on mad-up revenge filled bender. We don't get to see him pining over the fl, there no lingering doubt filled looks when he looks at his family before his evil turn.
The writing could've done so much more, so show that he was upset with his lot and life and let his be the straw that broke the camel's back. And it's only after he didn't get the girl that we get all of his internal struggle but that internal struggle was NOT something they showed about him. It would've made sense for Yi Xian to go dark villain route given what we know, we SEE him struggle his lot in life (Yi Xian) and we SEE how JZ became like an only light for him.
With, Chen Xuan Qing we see that he likes JZ but we don't see how much an impact she has on his life that she would be the straw that broke the camel's back. They could've done a TON more to build up his transition and make it make sense. He could've been a great character and even his character was written well on paper, they didn't due to justice to his character change.
And even more, it's okay to not agree with someone take but it's not great to dismiss someone with saying they didn't watch the show because they don't agree.
I like that you pointed out the disparity, because I didn’t see it until you mentioned it. He does tell her…
He can’t see her writing a letter to Yi Xian for help and then see her with Yi Xian and comment they’ve grown close & her wanting to help not realize they’re friends.
I think I’m a bit mixed about how the conflict unfolded and about how it was resolved. I JUST finished it and…
I think they should’ve had her apologize. I don’t agree that she’s didn’t try and talk to him before things blew up. Before she got sick, she was asking when he’d be home and she went to find him.
Stepping away for a moment isn't to punish others it can be room and time for us to collect ourselves. that room…
I think this would’ve been fair if it was for a day or so, but it seemed like it had been a few days, so the question is, how long should she have waited? When he told her nothing at all, it was like four days that he didn’t come up. And she did the leg work to go and see him. Then she was turned away, so she found out he was at the temple and waited all day, ending up sick. After the whole thing when the other picked her up, he left again for at least 3+ plus days, even with his servant letting him know she had been asking about him. So, how long is she supposed to wait? One week? Two weeks? Three weeks? I don’t think she should’ve forced his hand with the ultimatum but I also think she has waited plenty enough to have a conversation with him.

Didn’t he know Yi Xian was her friend or that they were close? He got Yi Xian out of the palace to help her, he commented that they were close , they’ve talked about them? I thought he knew Yi Xian was her friend.
True, I doubt they’ll make touch on it tho. It seems like they’re pushing yi Xian out of the story for a while, so I wonder if her character will also be cut.

Si Jin
